What is the general rule on tides @ the Shipwreck near Edmonds / Muckilteo? Is the incoming or outgoing more productive?

Thanks!

I had an interesting observation last Saturday. High tide change was 5:38pm. I started getting bites at about 4:30 while trolling in the south direction. The tide and the current were still running North, or in, but the fish were already turned in the other direction. All bites came an hour before and after tide change in the same direction.

Some people say that fishing nearer to mukliteo is best if your going to be fishing at hi slack and if you're fishing the ebb you'll want to be at the Shipwreck or south of there. I will generally open my tide book to todays date and send it down the downrigger so the fish can know where they're supposed to be. Unfortunately not all of them can read !

I've heard all the theroies on when to fish different areas (especially which side of the bar to fish depending on the tide) and the only theory that works 100% of the time is this one - "they are where they are" - the darned things do move around, you just have to find them.

good luck,
I have to get back to my drums
