Anyone use this new e-chip flasher? If so, what were your results?

I swear by them. I have been fishing them all year and feel they out perform other flashers. I don't have any scientific evidence but as long as I'm catching fish I'm happy.

I bought one and only one. Cheaply made- the glo tape peeled off after two hours of fishing. And I am hearing a lot of the same complaints.
If you want the same effect, add a #2 Colorado blade (w/split ring) to the welded ring on the aft portion of the flasher- same results- EFFECTIVE!

Where can I pick up some E-chip flashers??
DR, Is there any way you can email me a pic of the colorado blade set up, can't quite picture it. Maybe its because of the hangover or something...........

I've caught fish on them before but like DR says, they are cheaply made. The glo tape started to peel off after a 4 hour trip and the e-chip ball jammed and wouldn't move after one trip too.

Caught fish, but the ball frezes up soon. I even WD-40'd them every time I quit for the day, You may get a few trips in, but eventually they freeze up.
No tape problems at all. Caught fish with my red one only. I'd buy regular hotties and try the spoon blade trick.

Change out the swivels!!! I lost the probable Edmonds derby winner when my stock swivel exploded with the fish at the net!

E-chip
I used one at Sekiu during the past month. Didn't keep written records, but it outfished the green hot spot almost 3 to 1 on my boat.
Glad to hear about the upgrades the company is making. Personally, I'd like a corkscrew swivel on the back end. Makes switching leaders easier.
Also, for what it's worth, I went to 18" 50# test leaders with a 6/0 Siwash and the hoochie/twinkle skirt just brushing the bend of the hook for the hoochies behind the flasher or dodger. It is my impression that my hook-up rates went way up compared to previous trips. I think it is because the fish has to decide to hit the lure or not. It can't peck at it or study it like they might when using the longer leaders (28" plus). On my last trip, I had 3 hits that pulled out of the clip and didn't stick. Everything else came to the boat for observation.
