Man, all the real time river graph's are going straight up. When they drop a bit its a gonna be HOT So put away all that low-water gear and get ready for some real NW fall fishing. Glad I've got all next week off, looks like I timed it right-on for once... \:D \:D

Got some good rain on the Skagit today, but in checking the real-time graphs at the Dalles bridge the river also hit the years LOW here.

There are the normal Baker river fluctuations, but aside from that we got bupkis for a rise.

No fish up here either...in the last two nights of fishing I've seen one (1) Coho roll. They either need to turn the Baker on (and leave it on) or they need to release more water at the upper dams. Without substantial rain I'm not sure we'll see much of an improvement in the next couple days.

It needs to rain like he11 all night...and just cloudy in the daytime.. \:D

Got my wish...

Skagit at Dalles is up to 11,800 CFS this morning..the fish will be here soon..:-)

They are talking about sun tomorrow, but rain this afternoon. Now if the visibility can just hold on (it's still too dark to tell at the moment).

BTW, for anyone planning on coming up to the Skagit tomorrow, the river has puked below the Sauk.,,ie: mud brown with just a hint of green.

Last night it was absolutely gin clear with 5+ ft. vis. Today...near zip below the Sauk, and I would guess 2-3 ft. above. Water level is good, however, and some fresh fish are sure to be coming up the river soon.

Fished Rockport this late morning for about an hour with the F-I-L (he hasn't fished in over 60 years!) and we came up empty handed. One fellow said he got one (dark) early this morning.
