Congrats,
I still remember everything about my wife's first salmon, granted it was a chum that went back, was still a hoot watching her play tug of war with that thing.

Finding a woman who likes to fish is a rare thing, have to get out there and enjoy that time together that most couple don't get.

If the Mrs. is going to be a regular front seater in the drift boat I think her input on its design might be justified. I'm picturing flower-patterned seat covers. \:D

Mike,

You should look into the wristbands that have the little ball on them for the stomache problems. Surpisingly they were very well! West Marine has them but you can get them from drug stores too. ( http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wcs/sto...productId=31927 )

My son and I used them with great results out at Neah Bay this summer. I don't usually have a problem unless I don't get enough sleep. But on this day he was having problems and and I started to get a bit queezy too. 10 minutes after putting the bands on I felt fine and he was much better. We didn't go in but did find a place we could see the rocks and was fairly calm.

The only thing better than a wife who likes to fish is an EX-wife who likes to fish. Here she is sunday before last with my youngest son out on the river - in the rain no less. She never did this when we were married - what gives?

I hooked all the fish but handed them all off - they landed 2 each and lost several others.

Mike...Good times, I added my wife's first steehead picture to this thread, I'm still proud of her.. Hope you dont mind.. I can definitely relate.

That was fun...!!! She hooked another one after that which was too much for her....lol...She wanted to go alot after that. My friends were a little surprised when I had to tell them that one of the seats was taken by her in the future...

Ocean, Goinfishin...

I think ANY wife/girlfriend (present or ex) that likes to fish is a keeper.

Maribu: No worries. My comments were, indeed, spurred on by what you said, but then when I re-read what I had written I could see how someone who didn't know me, or my fishing ideals, could get the wrong impression.

Give yourself some time here before judging anyone too harshly. I made much the same mistake myself when I was just an "egg eyed" critter. Good folks here, all. Not everyone always agrees, but then when does everyone agree 100% on all issues???

The wife is just thrilled with all the support you guys have given her here. Sadly, she just accepted a new job that will have her working weekends, so the DB seat will be open both Sat. and Sundays. (once done, that is....and its getting closer).

All the best,

Mike and Doris
