Black mouth reports?

I worked the usual spots in the south part of area 10 for a few hours. I couldn't find a legal blachmouth anywhere. Lots of bait and lots of shakers. The shakers were all really small, about 8-10 inches. Anyone else give it a try?

EB...
Haven't been out for sometime, but talking with the diehards- fishing has been fair to slow. Most of the keeper size fish are coming from 150 feet plus.
Wonder how Mid Channel faired today?
I'll be out Thursday and this weekend "way down south" fishing the sand lance spawn off Brisco Point. Might even latch into a late silver or chum..

DR-- Mid Channel was rocking and rolling on the 1st with SE winds hitting 40 mph. Today, it's still a bit lumpy but winds are settling. Last week we still had some fresh-ish silvers around.
Meanwhile, I'm waiting for an oil seal to come in...

DR, I'll also hit MA13 this weekend. Probably around Treble Point to Devils Head on Saturday. Might see you out there.

Ran down to Kingston for some BM fishing. Big mistake, all the Kingston fisherman were using nets instead of poles. So I kept heading north to point no point. Lots of small shakers at first then I started hitting some nicer fish. Kept one 12lb BM and one 10lb silver, lost three other respectable size (7lb-10lb) BM. The only thing that was working for me was herring. Any other reports?

Bag,
I'll probably be fishing south of DH across Carr Inlet- Dana Passage.
However, I am also considering a pre-derby run up to Allen Bank. Might be a mistake because I am banking on a lot of fish in MA13.

Fished off of Edmonds/ Possession this afternoon until evening and got a lot of shakers and two just barely sub legals. I was using fresh herring.
Will give it another shot in the AM.

Fished Pt not Pt and Possession on Wednesday and again today. Did very well on Blackies. Largest was 10 lbs. Lots of shakers. Most of the fish were caught on Coyote spoons. Did switch to plugs for awhile which decreased the number of shakers and we did get a few keepers on plugs. Chums are thick in both area's. You can see them jumping and marking on the sounder everywhere. We didn't target them but they are there.

Fished off the Edmonds oil dock this morning from 8- noon.
Got several shakers trolling for couple of hrs. Went to drift/mooching/jigging a crippled herring and picked up three keepers that I let go-. Two wild fish one clipped. Plus about 25 8-15 inch shakers in an hour and a half.
True, not a fish story..........

Fish checker at Elliot Bay had 9 BM for 30 boats fishing the Tangue (spelling) derby. Not sure largest. Not bad numbers considering derby is mooching only in EB only.

Fished Possession today and got two decent blackmouth, but it was considerable slower that when I was out on Wed. and Friday. Still lots of shakers around but the legals seemed real scarce. It's been almost impossible to fish spoons or squids due to the large number of shakers. I've been pulling plugs and apex's and it really cuts down on the number of shakers and the fish you catch are usually keepers. Very windy this am but this afternoon it was beautiful and warm.

Sorry this is late, but a friend and I fished Foxes Spit in Saratoga Passage (across from Elger Bay) on Thursday and got three legal blackmouth, one of which was barely legal and we released. The other two were 8 and 10 pounds. Released about a dozen shakers. One rod had a 5-inch Silver Horde plug on it, and the other a Kone Zone attractor and a "Cop Car" Coyote spoon. We went artificial in an effort to minimize shakers.

Fished PnP again on Monday from 1-dark went through 2 dozen herring in 2 hours ALOT of shakers busted a nice one off at the point. Ran to the Hansville grocery and bought to more dozen then moved around the corner of the point out in the flats alot less shakers and I landed on nice blackmouth about 12-13 lbs. I would download a picture but I'm not sure how to do it. If you are going to go take alot of bait. Oh by the way I was mooching.

I also picked up 1 on RaceTrack. Saturday, just after high tide change.
Green/glo flasher and cop car spoon.
I was fishing by myself and this fish hit 5 minutes after I put my line in the water. Probably the shortest day of fishing I've ever had. I was excited, but disappointed. It was over too fast!
(I know that it's still a 2 fish limit, but I wasn't expecting to find any silvers or chum up there, so I packed up and headed in)
