I'm dreading the outcome. I think the protest vote ('I know nothing about Kerry but I hate Bush!') will really screw this one. I think it will be a replay of 2000 where we won't know for weeks.

my prediction as to the outcome?
not even close electorally but extremely close popularly again. The key being voter turnout....
.....people are STILL pissed about the way the last one turned out, especially in Florida and I just think that may motivate some people who otherwise might not have voted to get to the polls.
Kerry, by crushing electoral vote landslide.

I read this morning on MSN that they already had electronic voting machines in Florida malfunction today. AMAZING Looking at this poll, I'm pleased with what I see. I can't express how much I dislike Bush! My 2 cents worth.

Is that John Lennon's dad? Seattle IS a musical city. A little early to be a sore loser isn't it, Rory?

Hey Canyon Man...
You should have also had each person that voted, pick which part of the state they live in.
I think it would have been like the national map... the smallest area would have been blue....
Just a thought.

Holy cow Rory....
You know, the reason your posts don't get much reply is because unlike most, you don't state your leanings, followed by your opinion, followed by rationale/justification. That's what sparks the warm, lively, heated, white hot debate you often see on the board. No, you simply spew this far right stuff, usually from some rightish article/publication without even bothering to state an opinion on how it affects things.
I'm a little surprised at the polling numbers...must be some closet demos out there. I say this because although my leanings are a little left of center, most of my river buds are to the right. Don't matter when fishing, its all good. Somehow I don't believe you would agree with that.

At least Ms. Kerry doesn't have the personality of a rock like Ms. Bush. Ask yourself have you ever seen a more invisible first lady as Ms. Bush?? I wonder if there is any correlation with the fact that Seattle is one of the most educated cities in the US...Smart people for KERRY! BD

An election limmerick inspired by Parker: There once was a presidential election Our country torn in opposing directions The choice was so bad, like getting kicked in the nads Without any kind of protection.

If I could vote, I'd want to vote for Kerry.
Being close to seventeen, I have reason to fear a draft and I believe Bush is much more likely to reinstate the draft.
Also, Bush has showed me he doesn't give a rats@$$ about the enviroment.
Neither of them are a Teddy Roosevelt or Abe Lincon, but I think Kerry would do better than Bush.

CM- You left many choices out, at the very least you could have included 'Other.'
I voted for Micheal Badnarik (Libertarian).
One more note, I must say that seeing this astronomical voter turnout is pretty damn cool. I remember 2-3 elections back, many people were very apathetic and did not care to vote. The low voter turnouts of elections past (aside from '00) was very sad to see.....it is nice to see America cares again.

Looks like the PP polll reflects the national numbers to a tee. Bush 52-48 victory for both the popular and electoral vote.

I was reading earlier about an "additional" 8 or 10 electorals Bush got because of a "change in population"...how is that? Sounds like more F-911 GW scam.
Does look like Bush has got it again tho. With all the war scams, debt, and environmental disaster he's created people are still voting him back in, incredible. In some ways tho its fitting, he got us into this record debt, now he can get us out of it.
