Gents,

I have fly fished for many years but only recently started to do some drift fishing with Corkie and Yarn for Chum/Silvers.

My question is, does it help to put some scent on the corky or more importantly the yarn to attract and catch more fish?

How about including a Prawn tail with the corkie and yarn? Both Prawn tail and scent with corkie and yarn?

Any comments would be appreciated.

-Mark

I always add shrimp oil to my yarn. Is it more effective with scent? Yes, I have greater confidence fishing with some scent.

Scent really helps mask your scent from fish.I put pro-cure sand shrimp oil on most all plus spinners and rag's.Good luck,

buying shrimp to put on corkies & yarn is a waste of money (the river rips it off afer or 2 casts) but, to fish with corkies or corkies & yarn without shrimp or shrimp/anise oil is foolish ...

Have to agree that some scent does make a difference (both good and bad). I put shrimp oil on for chums and sand shrimp for steelies.
