i just picked up a couple hundred hooks labeled "the pro's edge"...i was at my local small sporting goods store where i buy quite a bit of my fishing gear to pick up a box of 30.06 cartridges(whitetail hunting in idaho over the 4 day weekend with the in-laws, hey, anything for good relations with the in-laws, but only if you MAKE me..) that were behind the counter so the nice young girl working let me back there to look at the selection-they didn't carry my brand in the grain i needed but while crouched down i saw a big clear bag with boxes of some different than what i'm used to seeing labeled hooks..i see that they are a brand of hooks called "the pro's edge", ask her about them and says there's a bunch of them in the clearance bin and that they had them on the shelf for a few months and nobody bought them...i dug through the bin and found a few boxes of some #2s----i tell you what, these look and feel like some nice hooks!!!! super sticky sharp, and these #2s, unlike visions(which i've used exclusively for the past three years) don't feel mega flimsy and prone to bending out(#1 and bigger visions are plenty sturdy but #2s and smaller bend out like a motha!)...i can't wait to use these hooks, from what i can tell they look and feel like a sweet hook, the true test is coming up soon, i think i'm going to be able to work in some clearwater/grand ronde/snake during the hunting trip....does anyone else have any info on these hooks or have used them before??

I was approached by a guy this past weekend @ Monte square / Chevron station in Montesano sunday morning before heading out fishin. This guy was handing out sample's of hooks and said JR is the owner of the hook company!!!!.I declined the offer as I'm a die hard gammi / owner fan.The label looked to be the same as the one's your talking about. If I was a guide I would look into these cheaper hook's but being a weekend worrior I can't afford to be losing fish or spending more time changing out hook's that have rolled over on the points or have bent out.Good luck,
