Hello!
I am brand new here!
I line in Northern California, I fish the Feather, Sacramento, The Mad & The American Rivers.
I landed 39 salmon this year, not my best but fairly decent.
I caught a bunch of chromers early in the run then just caught & released the rest.
I have been taking my son since he was 5 and now at age 12 he humiliates grown men on the salmon and steelhead rivers of northern California!
I have done a TON of big game hunting and now do more fishing than hunting.
I am stoked about the upcoming steelhead season!
I'll have to get a scanner, so I can share my photos.
Here is a pic of my last king of the year on the Sacramento.
He was caught & Released

Nice fish. We call them "Upriver Brights" around here!

Welcome!

It doesn't matter much to me how many, how much or how big your fish are, cause with a name like "Salmonella" you're bound to be a welcome addition to the board. I know with a handle like that I'm going to crack a smile everytime you post. so keep 'em coming.

Good to have you aboard.

Welcome!

That bad boy traveled quite a ways to make it to the Sac, good deal releasing him.

What do they bite on down there?

Ever make it down to Hard Times in Sac?

Welcome aboard the board. Nice smoked salmon, he'll put a bend in your rod. Fun! Fun! Fun!

Welcome but be careful throwing the "I'm from california " thing around. Some folks can get a bit "crazy" about that around these parts.

California is another country. Some of us immigrated from there during the Great Escape of the mid-eighties. Now that I've been here 20 years, I would like to slap my mother for being in that other country when I was born.

Parts of that country are truly beautiful...the Sac. Delta being one of them. Glad to have ya aboard!

If you ever want to escape, Visa's are free, and they don't check your immigration papers anymore at the top of the Siskyious... \:D

Nice fishy! Glad you sent him back to make a few hundred thousand babies...he would not have ben too tasty on the BBQ...me thinks.

Mike

photo shop will do wonders to that king. Also, try putting your thumb in the air...Lewis St. is an easy place to hitch a ride up the highway, if that doesn't work, there's usually somebody around the launch who'll give you a ride back up.

Very nice! Congrats guys!

Question for southern california Chinook run.
A friend of mine who lives in L.A. told me that there actually is a Chinook run once every two years in the salts in L.A. area.
Few anglers who know about this run target them.
Does anyone know of this info?

Salmonella, Bigkat,
Welcome aboard!!!
Sal, I have a close friend that lives near sacramento... He's a fishing machine, he's from washington missing salmon fishing. But he tells me the stripper (bass) fishing is an awful good substitute!!!
