Area 10 opens for BM on the 16th of Dec. Will there be any fish and if so where? Areas 9 and 8.2 are much closer to me so I have never given 10 much of a look durring the winter. Come on all you guys in da south lets have the nitty gritty!

thanks

jeff head can be good if you can find the bait. it's a good place to jig or mooch, but have had limited success trolling there for some reason. i haven't fished much south of there, mostly 9 and 8-2 as well.

good luck

Manchester area can be really good the last two weeks of December. Very easy to fish if you are a downrigger fisherman and like to scrap the bottom. I think salmon university has a good map of how to fish the area. I like to fish it in December because it is fairly protected from the winds. Also work the Southworth ferry dock area during the high tide. Be sure to post reports!

There's great water from Yeomalt Point to Restoration Point...

Jeffhead should be a primary choice... Fish closer to Squamish vice the point. Herring will be in close to the beach staging and spawning.

I'll agree with the 5" plug... might also consider a 5" spoon.

All the above areas mentioned are excellent choices. I will add Shilshoe to the mix, not that its better, it isn't, but I have done well there on occassions in the past.

as aleady stated, salmonuniversity.com is a good resource. Check under regions, then Washington and you will find your way there. They have complete instructions, photos, and a chart.

Gloves, Longjohns and some kind of a heater!

A little Hot Buttered Rum goes a long way to keep the chill off.

BD,

If you're coming out of Everett, the Kingston area can be very good and the closest. The bottom undulations off Kingston can be a little tricky, however.
