Non rain days it is a navy blue with a yellow embroidered Lamiglas across it. Rain days is my felt Indiana Jones hat. Not only does it keep the rain off my head, neck and face but it looks cool too. Not as cool as Indiana Jones but I don't carry a bull whip either!

I have dozens of hats but the true lucky hat says " Vikings " as in the football team.
How that could be lucky is beyond anyones guess. Its getting pretty old and rattie so It only comes out when extreme mojo is needed.

Got a forest green ball cap...no logos or writing..just the cap. It's seen many a fish roll over the transom and find the beach. Worst time for it was when I was working on the boat this summer...and I'm a "sweater". Got so's I couldn't stand to be near me own hat...thing was ripe! Wife took it, washed it. Came out nice, but seems to have lost a bit of the mojo it had...still, I won't leave home without it. Did almost lose it once...it blew off my head and into the current while bank fishing. Fortunately, I had my trusty 10' Lami spoon rod in hand and made a perfect downriver cast of about 20'. HAT ON!! Mike

Used to be "Willie Boats" ballcap. After years of frying my neck and ears in the sun, I've switched over to a wide brim felt in the winter and wide brim straw for ventilation in the summer.

My dad always said " Hard times is a straw hat "... never really did understand that statement

Luckiest or dorkiest? The Filson sure does keep the water off your head, but man, talk about a dorky looking hat! Oh yeah, not too sure how lucky it really is.....

Mine has the Three rivers logo on it. Thanks Kent and Brian. It is the luckyest hat I have owned.

Originally posted by DOWNTIME: Well here was mine. Got that hat when I got my loop in my spey fishing days. Over the summer, and fall it became part of my body. Until this past summer in 6ft rollers, a fish hits on a dipsey rod and poof it blasts like 15ft in the air then hits the water, felt like throwing up . Here she be with one of your fine west coast specimens.
Nice fish downtime. I feel for you on the hat story. Here's my old faithful.... actually that should be past tense.... HERE WAS.... since Willapa Bay claimed my lucky hat back in August. Still can't believe it sank that fast! I'm still grieving after 4 months because this hat was with me not only for some of my most productive steelhead days, but also for the three biggest kings I've ever had on hook and line. I'm still looking around for a replacement, folks. Anybody seen one of these babies at any of the sporting goods stores lately?
