Much has been made of Bush's reaction or lack there of after being informed of planes flying into the buidings on 9-11 while reading to school children. Kerry didn't let this go by either today indicating that he would't have waited 7 minutes before leaving the classroom.

Keep in mind that PMS-NBC is the same unbiased "enlightened" media conglomerate that gave us the 'Phil Donahue show'.

BTW--The teacher who taught the class our president was visting on 9/11/01 was a democrat who voted for Al Gore.

She has said that she appreciates the way Bush 43 calmly handled the situation and didn't needlessly scare or alarm the young children.

She has also said that she will now be voting for Bush in Nov. '04.

With almost three years to think about it and hindsight always being 20/20--Can you please tell what you, Al Gore or even John "Pierre" Kerry could have done in a few minutes after being informed about a plane flying into a building--that would have saved a single American life that horrific day?

Sure, I can tell you. I'd have said "Excuse me kids, but there is a matter that needs my attention." and I'd have left the room. Once out of the room, I'd have asked the Secret Service what had happened and what was being done THEN to address it.

Sitting there while planes are flying into skyscrapers is not a reaction I'd expect from any high ranking official.

If it's OK with you, fine. It's not OK by me, that's all.

Unfortunately, like many those in a position to do something or that were required to act, he wasn't prepared and didn't react as decisively as he could have.

Something tells me this will come up in the debates.

This, as an isolated insident, isn't a nail in the coffin to Mr. Bush' s re-election. But in the full context of what could have been done after 9-11 and the decisions that have been made to fight terror between 9-12 and today, I think we can do better.
