It is tempting to set some records straight and join in the political misinformation melee going on here. But NO THANKS....This board isn't fun anymore. Joking around isn't possible anymore. Insulting people and pontificating about political views is not a sport here but a religion for many. I only know a couple of people on this board personally and those I don't know are only engaged for comic relief .. When it comes to calling serious names and getting angry I can reserve that for in person exchanges.

There are two men here that I disagree with politically but respect very much personally. They know who they are. The rest are only comic book characters. Unfortunately the comic strip has turned into an xrated viscious rag.

Hopefully the country can evolve away from the deep divide it is in and we can all pay more attention to what matters....You decide what matters to you. I know what matters to me.

This board can be fun, but the personal attacks tend to ruin it. There have been many who have tried to be classy about what to say if the post election, but many are taking this as an opportunity to continue the childish personal attacks. I guess some folks are just classier than others.

Don't you worry Aunty about the fire being lit. There are some good things coming along if I can keep up the pace. We need alot more soldiers to help with what needs to be done and I think I will put my energies into recruiting and put less energy into the personal attack channel.

Salmo...I don't know you personally so I guess you might fit the comic book character category but I do take your fishing expertise seriously...Whether you are out of step with the majority is just one of those inevitable things we must live with. My original point is that if I disagree with you so much that I call you names and blow my cool here I should be kicked in the nuts because I don't even know you...only your ideas as expressed here which may, as in my case, not tell the whole story. I guess you and Harley are in a safe blue state so you are not too out of step in these parts.

I don't quite understand how I've ended up associated with a radical liberal element. I swear my moderate conservative values haven't changed in the last 30 years or so. But I was probably more libertarian than Republican in my leaning.

The conservative cause puts me off in two major ways. They will mix religion with government and politics, to which I take Constitutional umbrage. And they either favor, or at least don't care about, sullying public resources and property like air, water, parks and forests, fish, and wildlife, particularly when there's a private buck to be made. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against private property, but I think public property ought to be defended as fervently as private property is.

I'm confident we'll be better off as a nation for another four years having a president we can make fun of for being dumber than a box of rocks than we did of Clinton for being a womanizer.

Look at the county by county view. Let's compare the high school drop out rate county by county. While those tiny blue spots do often congregate around major leftist university areas full of 'enlightened' individuals, they are also the areas with the poorest and least educated populations. The perfect minions to fall victom to the lies and empty promises of the liberal activists.

Besides these inner city and liberal university areas, the other blue specs tended to be along the mexican border. Another group easily victomized by the preditors on the left looking for someone's hopes and dreams to steal.
