What do you socialist know-it-alls see for this Christmas season? No mention of Christmas? Cancel the school Christmas pageants? No nativity scenes? A 50 Cent concert instead of Handel's Messiah? Now that Ron Sims has been re-elected to the people's republic of King County there will be no mention of Christmas in his world...How about yours?

Then I think I'll go to the local Mosque and sing some good old Jewish holiday songs...The if I don't have a cap in my ass or get beheaded I will stop by Aunty's pagan ritual and drink some goat blood. Now Ed....I did not think much about the election. I understand the King County voters are stupid.They prove it over and over again.They did vote the monorail down though after what 3 votes and millions in waste. Wow, I didn't realize pharmacutical drugs were so dangerous. Yet pot, LSD, and the other good stuff is illegal in this country. Pot never caused anybody to kill or commit suicide. U.S. drug laws are as bassakwards as Grandpa's King County politics, sorta' getting back to the topic.

I'm with Aunty M, and like the traditional druid tree, with lights and a variety of pagan ornaments. And I'll take traditional Christian/Christmas displays any day over the over-hyped crass commercialization of the X-mas holiday. I almost don't want to give or receive gifts just because of that. I've heard that a lot of businesses do 25 to 40% of their annual gross on X-mas related shopping. Only in America, I suppose.

I agree AM I was just pointing out that these kids have issues. Ever see the PBS Frontline on Kip Kinkle?

It's a great piece dealing with the minds of these kids. Kip was the kid in Oregon. He was on anti depressants. The show was made before it was public what the effectsof anti depressants on teens where.

People laughed at Tom Cruise when he made his comments to Matt Lauer about Anti depressants because of his religion. But he was right on IMHO.


The marijuana laws are stupid as along as booze is legal.

Christmas is 365 days a year here. We let the kids expierience a normal Christmas and try to offset the greed lust and conspicious consumption they see going on around them with some down home traditions. We go up to the mountains and have a picnic and cut the tree in early Dec. We usually go sledding christmas eve.
