Luhr Jensen has been sold to Normark. It will get very interesting to see how the custom color program works out. For those of you that like some of this product like custom color Kwikfish, you better load up now. Look what happened to Storm wiggle warts when Normark purchased it.

I just talked to a source at LJ-- it's not quite a done deal, but it looks real close.

Supposedly, Rapala learned from its mistake with Storm and will leave Luhr Jensen pretty much alone. How much of the production shifts overseas is anyone's guess at the moment.

everything including price is agreed upon and the deal will be finalized at the end of this month. Something could happen to cause it to go sour but unlikely at this point. LJ has been advising their customers that it is a done deal.

That's basically the info I got, but I've seen a couple of these "done deals" surprise everyone. I really wouldn't think it would in this case because of the care that Rapala puts into its business dealings.

I know that if I worked for Luhr Jensen right now, I wouldn't be looking at new sleds...

I got my first look today at the wiggle wart "original series" replicas that I believe Normark is trying to bring back. It seems that the colors are really dull and not as flourescent as the original Storm wiggle warts, Hmmm. Good thing those Snoho coho don't bite anymore so I don't have to worry about picking up any new plugs. :rolleyes:

I hope luhr jensen gets ripped bunch of dicks, They bought out so many little companies, and screwed them! A good friend of mine who a created a hot saltwater jig, was promised alot of money and they just stole his mold and slapped there name on it like they created it....
