hey congrats on the 35'' nice fish. i am just waiting for the carbon to open.need to restock on the eggs. went to the cowlitz last weekend with a friend we hit five fish all day pretty slow fishing down there right now.but atleast it's not a day stuck at home lol.last year on the tilton river in morton a buddy and i stopped to see how the steelhead fishing was going and i walked up to the river and seen a guy catch a very nice steelhead hen and all he did was cut the eggs out and threw the fish back in the river. but what he did not know is that i had my digital camera going and got the whole thing on video. needless to say i went to the game department and this gentlemen was arrested about two hours later that day.well anyways good luck to everyone keep your lines tight

Wow, all these years I thought I was a sportsman. Now I find out I am just a terd. Oh well guess I will just stop volunteering with the fish and game department, stop picking up trash that other unsportsmanlike people leave, I will stop letting spawners and wild fish go, I might as well throw on the 10/0 treble since there is no distinction,I will stop reporting poachers since they are evidently my kin (hope they forgive me), heck maybe I will even try elk poaching Hmmmmmmm that sounds like fun. Now that I am a terd I can fished closed waters too and snag wild steelhead. I couldnt eat them all but theyll make good fertilizer In my weed garden next to my new meth lab.

Flossiing is acceptable and widely used in Alaskan Rivers with big Sockeye fish runs. The Kenai for example has escapement of over a million sockeye this year. Flossing is the most effective way to legally catch a sockeye and the fishery can sustain the fishing. The difference being that the fishery is very closely managed. No fish or low fish and the fishery is shut down. B.C. and Washington have allowed commercial/tribal interests to net our runs into near extinction. Sportsmen are allowed our "mercy allocation" just to justify the commercial/tribal rape. If the Fraser is that vulnerable to a flossing fishery it should be closed...period. I can go to Alaska and allowed to take 5 kings per year max. Here in Washington you can buy one punch card after another. Flossing...no flossing the real culprit is fishery management or in our case mismanagement. Over fishing eventually means NO FISHING!!!

Next time I get a speeding ticket, I'm going to blame the DOT. If they would just manage the traffic better, I wouldn't have to make up so much lost time from sitting in traffic.

For me , the greatest part of fishing ,has always been ,figuring out what the fish will bite on ,or being there ,when the "BITE" is on ,or discovering a deadly lure .Putting "MEAT" in the freezer has only been a added bonus to all the above .
