Although a live image (eye rolled down with the life-force of the fish still evident in its glossy sheen and color) makes for the most awesome fish pics, I guess an occasional dead-fish-pic can't hurt anything.

VHAWK has my vote with anticipation. I hope someone takes me fishing when I'm in a wheelchair.

Thanks Doc. Its not really top ten material, but its a personal favorite. I had the coffee jitters and so the pics weren't as sharp as they could have been. Maybe next year we'll get someone to drop by the pond who can just shoot real pics for the kids. Evidently there are a lot of talented photographers on this board.

I just hope nobody pushes me into the river if I'm ever in a wheelchair. \:D

IMPORTANT

Deadline for submissions is tonight at midnite. Please nominate any favorite pictures if they are not already nominated. Good Luck

Here's one I took of world renowned humpy fisherman, IkissMykiss, this summer at Bush Pt.

And here's one from my favorite zipperlip, also this summer:

I may as well add one of my own. This is a pic I took of my regular Friday Posse. I simply call it Chrome:

I would also like to add my support of fishhead5's "Tom at 84." That pic is simply awesome at so many levels. If it does not make the top 12 then Vince's idea of quality fish porn and mine greatly differ.

Ha! Pretty funny Todd....that would be a good sunset photo without me in it. Ahhhh, and the Zipperlip....I sure had fun fishing it while you were out of state all summer. \:D

I enjoy ALL photos that members share with the board but my favorite photogs are Doc and Bob. Although I own the same/similar camera, I do not get similar results!

Since Vhawk already nominated a good Kenai King shot of Docs, I'll nominate a couple of others. I like pictures of fish AND kids, and Doc has these down pat.......

and I always liked this one too....you can see Doc, his 43WR camera, and his daughter in the........cornea? :p

Great idea vhawk29,(the contest). I know that I have images lurking within my mind, some as great as those that have been displayed. Question is could they be based in fact?

In the higher quality photo you can see the skeeters a bit better.

I think I like the picture with you and the kiddo on the boat better. The background is awesome, and it looked like you two were having fun.
Its possible on Photoshop to remove that shadow that falls right across the middle of the little angler, so they are lighted as much as you. Its kinda a pain in the butt to do, but that picture is really worth the time. The blues in the background and the whole picture is very nice. If you had submitted it, it would have made top 12.
I got into trouble previously for offering unsolicited advice and criticism. Thats why I offered to buy somebody a magazine subscription. I think the reason I do it, is because of Photoshop. If your the kind of person who takes alot of pics it is a good program to learn.

Hey vince,

I did some work on Neals photo of him and Alex. I tried to remove the shadow, without losing detail. The only way I know how to do it is using the cloning stamp or selecting the shadow and adjusting the light balance. But to add the highlite detail that is on Neals face I lost detail on Alex. If you have any input please reply.

thx
matt
