§ 6011. General requirement of return, statement, or list


(a) General rule
When required by regulations prescribed by the Secretary any person made liable for any tax imposed by this title, or with respect to the collection thereof, shall make a return or statement according to the forms and regulations prescribed by the Secretary. Every person required to make a return or statement shall include therein the information required by such forms or regulations.

Damn constitution!!!That stuff is usually muttered by the same people who say "I don't need a driver's license or to register my vehicle while I drive on free american roads", "I don't need to respond to a ticket written to me while driving on free american roads" or my personal favorite "I'm going to issue you a subpoena to appear in the court of the free americans, if you arrest me"

That whole "you don't really need to pay income tax" thing was part of a scam started back in the 90's. It was inmmediately picked up by the militia nutjobs and passed around gunshows. It started and a "buy my info packet for $75 and Ill show you how" type thing. The guy responsible is enjoying a lengthy stay at Club Fed.

Unfortuantly for the naive still out there whom haven't wisened up, rumors and old copies of his "packet" still circulate.

The same people who like bighog said--want to drive on our roads and over our bridges be defended by our Armed forces, receive domestic goods defended in price by import tarriffs etc etc. and dont want to spend one thin dime on any of it.
