Looks like the Sonics may pack up and head to Okielahomie. I guess there is always Portland. I guess the Hawks and the M's are enough for Seattle. Maybe we could get an NHL team now.

Sure, Ray Allen is an elite NBA player. But we don't have anyone to help him. We pick 3 project centers in a row...What a waste of 3 first round picks...

We can't figure out what we need and when we do need something, we go for an old guy like Danny Fortson, who got more fouls then points when he was here...

I think we will miss the team if they do take off...

Maybe them leaving will be good and we can use that $500 million or whatever they needed to build that damn stadium in Renton, and instead we can put that Sockeye Hatchery on the Cedar River...That Lake Washington Sockeye fishery pulled in like 9 million dollars or something to the economy, and that was just in like a 3 week season...

That probably makes more money then the Sonics do for the economy anyways...

Hell, even more people AND BOATS are out during a day of Sockeye season then there are fans at home games, even against teams like Dallas and Phoenix...

I didn't understand the cost of $280,000+ million for 3,000 more seats. There are always plenty of empty seats at the Key.

I won't miss the Sonics or pro b-ball. The game is totally a waste, nobody play defense or sets picks and guys travel 3-4 steps, it's all about 3-pointers or a fast-break dunk. Unfortunately, many highschoolers now think that's basketball.

The draft means nothing in the NBA.. Its all about free agency. Kids coming out of high school. Thats wrong.

I really stopped watching a couple of years ago. During an important game a rookie was called for a imaginery foul on a star. The foul, if I remember right, was pivotal in the outcome. After the game they asked the rookie how he felt about the call. He responed by saying, "Of course he got that call. He should have. He's a star. When I have been here as long as he has, they will give me the call too. Its all about respect."
Really, I thought it was about the game. At that moment, I think I truely realized it wasn't about the game any more, it was about flash and image, and little more. I love basketball, but not whatever it is they think they are playing.

I won't miss the Sonics. I like sports. I love sports that are played for the love of the game. I'm disallusioned with playing sports for the love of the money. I rationalize my feelings, and think that's it's OK to enjoy college sports, since technically, they're not pro.

Worse than pro sports is public financing of pro sport stadiums and arenas in my estimation. Pro sports are private enterprize and should pay their own way. It makes me ill to eat in a Seattle restaraunt knowing I'm helping pay for Safeco Stadium.

For me the NBA went down hill during the I am above the rules of the game Michael Jordan era. Who wouldn't be great if you could travel all you want , foul all you want and anyone get's within five feet of you it's a foul. The NBA is dying a slow death but when it's dead we're going to have to build a few more prisons.

kids can't come out of highschool anymore, they bumped the min. age up to 19 so its pretty much atleast one year of college
