Damn boys it's only chalk fer chrissake.
Chill out.........
Poor kids having to live so close to a cranky ace neighbor or hermit writing his manifesto only to be interupted by the crime of the century (kids playing outside with...oh my god...CHALK).
Cheer up boys.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
for cripes sake, at least he's not out destruction vandalizing something, or doing somethin that is dangerous. big deal
if you got a problem with a little washable chalk....wow....just boggles my mind old cantankerous men ( NOT WOMEN) get all worked up over constructive playing. not only is your child developing key social skills not to mention development of brain...its also safe and....dosnt affect ANYTHING!!!!
My grandpa is one of those people. just worries to much about...NOTHING!!! no long term affect whatsoever to anything.
i have to stop..i am going to piss people off.
what really kills me is these are the same folks ( my dad, grandpa) that wonder why kids are shooting kids at school, crime rates amoung younger kids has skyrocketed.
and everyone blames the kids!! they dont have the capacity to do anything other then what they are taught....or lead to believe what is right and wrong by the actions of their parents. thats it!
dont hate me or get pist. your right...i dont have kids. i am basing my knowledge of a lot of reading, studies, research i have done in this area of degrading social values. it all points to us older folks and the example we set for young kids and how we treat them and expect to much from them without letting them be freakin kids ( run on sentence...i know)
sidewalk chalk rules. i used to do some sweet art work with that stuff. kept us busy for days....DAYS!! and guess what? we are not on short supply of rain around here to wash it all off.
But far be it from me to tell you you should have been out there telling your son or daughter that that drawing/design was sweet, that you think they did a good job and keep it up. You might even bend down and join them for a bit.
