I went out my front door here a little bit ago and first thing I see is the massive tag job on my driveway and all over the street. Its green and pink and orange chalk. Stick people and hop scotch and crap all over. I sorta freaked and confronted lady across the street. She says its "side walk chalk" and will wash right off. I told her " we'll find out as soon as your kids get off the bus today".. I am serious, who ever invented that crap needs his ass kicked.

"Chalk" one up to the little taggers. Sounds like you've been punked.
Wait until they discover silly string. A friends son plastered his car with the stuff and it baked into the paint.

Damn boys it's only chalk fer chrissake.
Chill out.........
Poor kids having to live so close to a cranky ace neighbor or hermit writing his manifesto only to be interupted by the crime of the century (kids playing outside with...oh my god...CHALK).
Cheer up boys.

I mixed some sand into some paint to put a no-skid finish on my boat seat.
Left the unused portion in the can.
Came home the next day to find that MY kid painted the house with the leftovers.
I was less than pleased.

If I want to look at a mess I'll go in the house. The outside grounds are my domain. Thats some funny stuff. You should see the inside of my place. Time to pick up your toys girls. Instant tantram. And no comments about my unmowed yard.. I am gonna mow right now..

Otherwise thery are pulling at my shirttail asking to come play all day long....... Quick douse with the hose and it's gonzo, I agree, time to chill out! go fire one up and it wont be so bad, you might actually like all the purdy colors...

Bring your daughter down tomorrow evening when you get back if you can. Renee will be gone but me and the girls will be home. Saturday evening we are going to a birthday party so I won't be around. Sounds good, what time? And back on subject I won't bring any chalk

O.K, it cleaned off fine. Its still out in the street so I still have to look at it. While I was hosing it down last night those two girls were riding circles around the street on their Barbi Bikes and every time they went past me would say "Hi, watcha doin "..
I thought about squirting them with the hose, but their parents are pretty cool so I didn't. NOTE TO SELF: Show these girls how to pop caps with a hammer on "their" side walk. Do they even make "caps" anymore ?? Makes a permanant black mark. Got me spanked hard 40 years ago, might do the same for them.

RVW No kidding. Its just asphalt for chrissake! And it washes away the next time it rains. They sell caps at Sportsman's Whorehouse.

Leave packs of bottle rockets, lighters, and those new chocolate flavored cigarettes lying around where they ride their bikes.

Lowedown, it's good to see the kids are finally getting a proper education in PA. I never thought I'd see the day.

RVW THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for cripes sake, at least he's not out destruction vandalizing something, or doing somethin that is dangerous. big deal if you got a problem with a little washable chalk....wow....just boggles my mind old cantankerous men ( NOT WOMEN) get all worked up over constructive playing. not only is your child developing key social skills not to mention development of brain...its also safe and....dosnt affect ANYTHING!!!! My grandpa is one of those people. just worries to much about...NOTHING!!! no long term affect whatsoever to anything. i have to stop..i am going to piss people off. what really kills me is these are the same folks ( my dad, grandpa) that wonder why kids are shooting kids at school, crime rates amoung younger kids has skyrocketed. and everyone blames the kids!! they dont have the capacity to do anything other then what they are taught....or lead to believe what is right and wrong by the actions of their parents. thats it! dont hate me or get pist. your right...i dont have kids. i am basing my knowledge of a lot of reading, studies, research i have done in this area of degrading social values. it all points to us older folks and the example we set for young kids and how we treat them and expect to much from them without letting them be freakin kids ( run on sentence...i know) sidewalk chalk rules. i used to do some sweet art work with that stuff. kept us busy for days....DAYS!! and guess what? we are not on short supply of rain around here to wash it all off. But far be it from me to tell you you should have been out there telling your son or daughter that that drawing/design was sweet, that you think they did a good job and keep it up. You might even bend down and join them for a bit.
