It appears today is gonna be hot, was fishing this morning at 7:00 with no shirt. Yes, the bikini hatch is out today. Off to go do some boat towing. Fishing for macks was slow for us this morning, only one smaller fish. Tell ya more later, and pics, maybe of the hatch of the day too.

Richard's got the formula down pat: Slide the bikini and thong pictures into a fishing/family related thread to keep the Three Rivers Mafia dude from sliding it over to the politics board. Smart.

Well, today I got up a little before 6, got the kids up from 3 different condos, got 'em cereal, and off we went for some laker fishing. We went to Rocky Point first, then out almost to Wapato on Mill Bay. By 7 my shirt was off, by 8 we were heading in as 2 could no longer wait any longer to go to bathroom, and seeing as they are not my kids, they didn't want to go in the lake. We got one small, maybe 3.5 pound fish right away on a crawdad imitation, never got another bite or fish. Gonna try again tomorrow a.m. as normally we have no problem catching them, we just quit when we are tired of catching the, not today though.

Then off to the daily walk to Starbucks, yeah, there is a real one here now by Safeway. Then off on the water for skiing, wakeboarding, innertubing. Everyone froze in the water as this year the temp is even colder than normal for this time of year, maybe it is from the river flooding last week, I don't know, but it is freezing, I'm surprized the bass are biting. Lots of wood debri starting to show up too in the water every day. The water was flat all day, excellent.

Then off to the water slides for a couple hours this afternoon, then to dinner, and then of course some of the kiddos, and me still wanted to fish, so off to one of the smaller nearby lakes for some fast action of trout, bass, and every type of panfish found in Washington. Super fast action, a good kid pleaser after the lack of action this morning.

Fishing this morning, the gang....

boats are no fun, don't get one Parker...

My kid wakeboarding...

The chunky just turn 5 year old nephew, who's parents won't get in a boat, but here he is tubing..

While they took a break and ate lunch and sat in the sun at the pool, I decided it was my turn to catch a sucker, just to say I did, they actually don't fight too well when on a bass rod, one caught, that is good for my lifetime..

Jennifer and the kids at the water slides...

The bikini hatch....

Got ya!

The fast action small fish catching this evening....

Hopefully I will have some pics of a decent sized, or at least a few mackinaw tomorrow. I do have a couple good bikini hatch pics, I'll save them for later. So far now we, or actually I should say the kids have caught tons of trout, smallmouth, largemouth, suckers, sqaws, one mack, and a bunch of seriously small but cool looking panfish. Of course, the wake up call will be fairly early in the morning as there are 4 kids waiting to go make another attempt at the macks. So far we have only kept 4 trout, 3 bass, and 3 bluegill to eat. I think tomorrow may be a meal making day if we find some decent fishy's.

By the way, Rocky Point had a lot of good sized smallmouth against the rocks by the road, in about 30 feet of water. I fish for bass here and at Curlew every summer, by far this is the best smallie fishing in this lake so far and the water is super cold, so there must be quite a few here.

I agree! Almost looks like her ass got caught in a gill net. Don't worry... I'll save her.

Nice pics and stories Addicted... you add a lot of great stuff to this board. I also like seeing board members with pics of "goofy" fish. I think there a lot of us that will fish for whatever is in the water.

Is that small fish close-up a "pumpkinseed"? Either way, it is quite a striking fish. And what is that glowing green crap on your finger in that pic?

I'm still impressed by your daughter catching that monster smallie... any pics of that thing?

.

That glowing green stuff on my finger would be the permanent power bait smudge from baiting up so many hooks for them trout.

I have no idea if that is a pic of a pumpkin seed, I don't know what all these panfish are, we're just catching them. I heard from a local that there are catfish, bluegill, sunfish, crappie, largemouth and trout in that lake we were at, and I think we've caught most of them, except a catfish. The agenda has been set by the kids this afternoon, we're going back there. It's friggin blowing like crazy again now so no more out on the big lake today for awhile. We caught no Macks this morning in a short lived excursion due to wind, I'm not sure what the deal is, I'm used to super easy fishing for them, but that has not happened yet. The big smallie my daughter caught was an unexpected thing. I sent the kiddos out on the dock alone, well 5 of them, and I was in playing on a Wii. Then I hear Lexi yelling, "I got one, I got one", I go running out there thinking it was a big sqaw or just stuck on the bottom cuz she's reeling as fast as she can, and the little rod is double over. I get out there and see the thing going all over in the water. I yell up towards the condo's, "get a net, and the camera." Over and over agian I yelled it. No one ever came. I had her walk off the dock while fighting the fish, walk along the cement bulkhead, then bring it in on the steps by the pool. Jennifer came out from a downstairs condo (ours is upstairs) and gets all excited as the fish is being held up to show some other people. Then back it went. We've caught a lot of nice ones here over the years, but that was by far the biggest. I'm estimating when I say close to 7 pounds, but it was a chunk, and when you get that compared to most of the ones you get, it looked huge. When we go out in the boat, or on a drive somewhere else the camera is always with me, here, at the condo, it is usually forgot about unless an event happens, then it's a madhouse to try and find it quickly.

That chick in the pic is 27, big time into fishing and showing off her butt...

I'll just place a pic here and there of what I got yesterday since this is about fishing in Chelan, or maybe I'll make a new post over on "is there life".

Today is definately a keeper day, and a fish dinner tonight.

Tell her I'm in love with her.

A couple years ago a buddy of mine was camping at Lake Chelan with his family. He's a diver, so he was doing some shallow scuba stuff and saw about a 12 pound largemouth laying under a shelf in 10 feet of water. He skewers the thing and comes to the surface with it. Everyone is amazed. He cooks it on an open fire and invites the local campers over for a bite. One of them turns out to be the game warden who is quite interested in the method by which the large fish was dispatched. Long story short, the warden told him not to do it again. The dipshi% didn't even have a fishing licence.

More pics. The wind never stopped yesterday, didn't get a lot of fishing or watersports in. Did get a dinner worths of fish though and all the kids were excited about that, including many not in our group.

This is why we didn't get a lot of fishing in yesterday.....

Hatch shot....

Just kidding, that second pic was emailed to me by my uncle, I have no idea who that is, but thought some of you would like it, especially you who love bass fishin'.

The catches of the day that ended up being a meal, and the kids cleaning them.

Dancing....

Just to let ya know, tons of cops over here writing people up for anything and everything, on the water and the roads. As many cops as Memorial Day weekend over here. They got two boats and a Sea Doo, I've even seen them out on dual sport motorcycles, so I'm not sure what the deal is, if they are trying to set a tone or what, but they are active.
