UH, NO. The states right on top of it again with the "you'll have by July 31st at the latest" statement I got from them. Things are running smooth as silk, just like the drawing did!

WDFW SUX,they could'nt organize a three year olds birthday party.

I think they should have the draw earleir like a lot of states so that we are not waiting for permits so close to hunting season. It really is frustrating.

I saw a response to this question from WDFW on another site. Apparently WA waits to set the seasons until after they get the herd counts in the spring. The other states you mention base their permit numbers on year-old data. Each state has to choose...do you want the best info for setting your permit numbers and a late draw, or are you willing to use old data but have an early draw. Personally, I'd rather them use the best info they can get. Imagine if in the 2004-2005 winter there was great survival so they publish the regs in late 2005 for the 2006 season with a bunch of doe tags. But then the herd gets slaughtered by the winter of 2005/2006. What do they do then, go and ask for the doe tags back? If they go with the old data and early draws, they would have to be very conservative with the permit numbers, which translates into less opportunity (i.e. fewer permits) for us.

I'm with salty on the permit selection process. BTW I got my permit last week. It was only a couple of days late. No problem when hunting season is a couple of months away.

I just got from AK, so I haven't had time to check the mail. Wife has a nice stack just waiting for my review, so I guess it is in there. Then again, I got blanked, so I'm not too excited about getting my five green "better luck next time" notes from WDFW.

Don't get you panties in a wad, girls. You got your answers on the internet, so unless you had an August hunt, what does a few days mean? I believe the state was working with those folks who had August hunts on a priority basis.

I too would like the hunts to be drawn earlier, but using good info.

The only panties I own are your wifes, and I use them for a table cloth. Hope to see you in the woods someday.I'll show you one of my "secret spots". We pay the highest fees around and get the worst service from WDFW. If I ran my business like that I wouldnt make it. But then I guess they have a corner on the market. No accountability is the key. Where else are you gonna buy your tags ect?

My card was in my stack of mail.

Are you guys 8 years old? Seriously. If you knew my wife, you wouldn't be saying that, but then again, if you knew her, you would probably be one of her clients. She's a juvenile probabtion officer. Seriously.
