It's my favorite time of the year, Highschool & College football. The PAC 10 is looking strong this year. The Huskies looked good, and the Cougs take on Wisconsin this afternoon.
And with living in Pasco, there's no shortage of HS action. Two more games tonight.

Jake F'n Locker, baby. That kid looked great in his first start last night. He showed great speed, and had the decision making skills to go with it, which is something Stanback just seemed to lack. I don't think the Huskies are going to be the doormat they've been the last few years. Not that Syracuse is some powerhouse, but they're not Weber State, either. They'll give BSU a bit more challenge than that. Good game, Dawgs.

LMFAO! Did you see that? WSU coug'ed it on 4th down & still managed to recover the blocked punt...only to score a TD. The price of Badger land speachless, Priceless.
Michigan falls to D1-2A. Yep Falls in the air.
I followed Jake Locker during his day's up north. Dudes the real deal. Hopefully he's stays healthy. Former Pasco Bulldog, BIG Ryan Tolar OL is there aswell. Should be another fun season.

Which Huskies you talking about? I played 3 yeard outside linebacker for UCONN Huskies, but i do not thingk your talking about them sorry to hear that... The Dawg's D looked great, even the "spotty" secondary was more than adequate. Jake was awesome, Sweet Lou Rankin showed he's not afraid to run up the middle anymore, Brandon Johnson was good as a freshman, the line settled down after a shaky first drive and loooked good. I'm a little more optimistic then last year. Now when i asked a die hard coug fan about how they are going to do tomorrow and he admitted they arent worth a damn this year that made me laugh. Looks like Wisconson is laughing their way into the locker room at half time too.

IRIE, If college ball is the darkside, then WTF is pro ball. College football is the best game going in my opinion, followed by college basketball.
Anyone who didn't enjoy the USC / Texas Rosebowl and Boise State / Oklahoma Fiesta bowl last year had better check your pulse to see if you're dead.
I thought Locker looked great last night. A good way to open the season. Go Dawgs! Brian

College ball is where it is at. Players are more intense and the games are better played than pro.

As a college football fan you've got to appreciate Locker, even if you are a Cougar like me. I'm surprised Ty lets him run as much as he does. But if you're a good runner then you don't take direct hard shots. The Husky D looks better as does the O-line.
The Cougs have a lot of work to do before the Pac-10 season starts. The pass defense was horrible and no pressure on the QB. The rushing defense was allright. The offense looks good but became predictable after the first half. Even the fake punt was predictable.

Atleast the cougs kept the first half interesting against the badgers...Shows that their is something to build on and they can hold up with top 25 teams at their house..

Here come the Bronco's.... BSU by 14
UW QB does look good. I predict BSU will pound them on the ground as they have a great running game. Tough year to predict the Bronco's. Out of the starting seniors that left last year, 8 are on pro rosters right now. Thats a pretty high % for any team. All un tested at the WR spot this year, and missing key people from last years defense.
Should be a great game at any rate. BSU players to watch. Ian Johnson tailback. He'll get close to 200 yards rushing. Ryan Clady OT - check the size and speed on that boy.. He'll go in the first round in the next draft.

I think the UW and Boise State game will actually be close. Bosie state has built a good program, alot of thier kids get looks at the NFL, but like alot of great college teams winning in the NCAA doesnt equate to making an NFL team. With a great class last year only 4 of them made it past all the cuts and our still on a roster as of today.

200 yards, huh?
I think that's a little optomistic, but that dude IS a stud RB.
I'm not sure who the last RB to hang 200+ on UW's rushing D was, but it doesn't happen very often.......even during the stinky last few years.
I'd say BSU by 14 isn't out of the question, but Locker is going to give BSU more trouble than you think. Speed and good decision-making makes him very dangerous.

Hard to even see what BSU has this year when looking at the Weber game. About the 74 yards rushing.. they were in negative numbers in the first half. I think they had something like 50 yards total offense in the first two quarters, and they called the dogs off at half time. Still, it all means nothing.. not a damn thing. Next week however, thats a game worth watching. Could go either way.
What I found amusing was the sorry ass Idaho Vandals were able to move the ball on USC last night. Sure it was a laffer.. but it showed one thing "USC ain't that good"... I think they won't be the Pac 10 champs this year as predicted. I thought the Cougs hung in there pretty well, but in the end Couged it. Cal looked pretty good. UCLA looked O.K
Opening weekend kinda sucks.. little schools get the holy crap pounded out of them just for the NCAA money.. and then you get the totally perfect deal like Michigan going down to a 1-AA team. If you follow 1-AA ball that was not that big of a shocker.. those boys have been tight for a few years

I don't know Stam, its possible Boise could lose. I do think they are over confident, and not as skilled as last year. I'll take that Lami hat however, as they probably will win this one.. I guess the question is "what do you want ?" I'll come up with some type of fishing related trinket, and be humble should BSU lose.. Its going to be a fun one to watch. That Locker kid seems to be the real deal..
What happened to that jack ass that used to say " Book it " .. made me smile every time I read it.
