Dear Dr. Sol, I am a 38 year old man who fishes too much to find time for dating. I still get some every now and then as even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while. My question is, Do you think that the internet dating thing is worth wasting my time on? or is it so lame that I should just be happy with getting some once in a while and keep on fishing at will. signed-TBJ

Here's the deal on the internet scene. The dating sites like, singlesnet, match, eharmony, etc., are full of nothing but chicks looking for a soul mate, not a sol mate, so be prepared to be interrogated via email before getting the chance to stab one. I know you, I would suggest lieing and deceit as your best strategy here. Craigslist is hit or miss. Roll the dice for a shot at a hottie from Barcelona or Shaqwanda from the projects.

Personally, I have carnel knowledge of 6 different women in the last two months and I an burned out. All things considered, I would rather beat-off than deal with the drama, so I'm going to put my energy into other interests. If my "match" is out there, which I truely doubt at this point, she is going to have to find me.

That's the sum total of my knowledge on the subject. \:\)

Dear Doctor Sol

I have so many questions

1> why do I look like my friends dad ???
2> How come I don't care about all the negative press and still want to hit Britney Spears like a mack truck.. is that bad ??
3> If I took a Viagra, would I really have a boner for 4 hours, or would I blow and be done ???

Who's the goon that pined this thread?

Irie: I suggest offering your neighbor a cocktail tainted with rohypnol or ketamine. When she falls asleep you can hit it without her knowledge. Be sure to use plenty of lubricant and clean her up before redressing her.

Avid it's not wrong but it will make your head hurt. I speak from experience.
There's a lot to be said for sticking to chicks 35-45 and shutting your eyes and thinking about the 22 year olds.

In all seriousness, bud, alcohol and drugs are not cures. I'm sure you know that already. I still drink and smoke weed on the weekends because I like too and it's part of who I am, but since I asked my wife for a divorce I don't feel the *need* to do it. There's an important distinction there and it took me a long time to figure it out, mostly because I never allowed myself to consider divorce a valid option.

HAd a girl ask me the same question about picking up a guy on the beach--- must just be a coincidence. In my limited experience it's always the female letting the guy THINK he's picking her up.

Ya see kid sometimes when daddy mokeys use their rods in closed waters they catch the crabs. Mommy mokey is picking the crabs off daddy monkey and it feels goooood.

Be good.

Dear Dr. Sol. I have a friend who while partying in Thailand picked up this chick and took her back to his hotel room. After a heavy make out session and recieving oral pleasure he proceded to reciprocate. Well it turns out he picked up a dude and he flipped out and threw the ladyboy out. Does this make him a bad guy? BTW I have never been to Thailand.-TBJ

Dear Dr. Sol,
I am a memger of a very popular fishing forum in which most of the members are all around good people and fun to be around. However, there are some that are arrogant egotistical know it alls, that stink up the forum with their constant blathering and boasts about their conquests of the opposite sex. This has become extremely annoying, and no amount of slamming seems to shut them up. What would you do?? signed, exasperated \:\/

I'm not a golfer.....but the way you put it sol makes me think that I might have to go find some greens. The only hard part (no pun intended) is trying to figure out which greens have been mowed and properly manicured. Yup....looks like I need to go play a few rounds of golf on a 3 hole course!

I've cured a lot of eggs over the last dozen years or so. Therefor, I've cured my hands a bit while fishing them eggs for kings. How much longer will my hands last in the grave than the rest of my body?

Usually about 4 hours a night, my dad and grandma are the same way, runs in the family, curse or a blessing, depending on how you look at it. On the rare occasion, 5.5 or 6 if I've had a long night at the camfire or just worn out. Good thing I don't do any drugs, I'd never sleep and the world would be sick of me.

Well, from Sol's previous on-line description of that body part, looks like there will always a be a long flag pole at Addicted's grave site!

Heh. We can get him a big white flag to put on it with "HUNG" written on it in black lettering.

No Jerry--Bucket is in Alaska workin his arse off--SOL IS NOT EMPLOYED AT MY BUSINESS--HE DOES NOT WORK FOR ME. It takes real special people like NOFISH, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion to employ someone like Sol. I don't have the patience!

Truth is I'm really not sure what Bucket thinks of me, but I know when I ask him for a favor or I need help he has always been there for me. Behind that false front he's one of the good guys.

No worries, Aunty, HIV is transfered via blood or semen or vaginal secretion, not saliva.

I've always been curious how the adult film industry justifys using a condom between man and woman for intercourse, when the guy rips it off for the money shot in the end and coats her tonsils. Why wear it in the first place if HIV can be transfered via semen?

You're enjoying that story quite a bit aren't ya? I was already naked and she already had my cash, what was a poor white boy to do but stick his dick in her mouth? It won't happen again.

Aunty's tend to be worriers. ;\)

No need to worry Aunty---Bucket's been happy with the same woman for the past 26 yrs. Well most day's anyway! I do however enjoy looking and wondering. Going that route would just cause more problems and I've got plenty of those!

A couple of days sitting on the deck of the cabin in Bucket's avatar would cure most any complaints.
I've had 10 years of martial bliss and 35 years of marriage.........
However, the 10 years have been spread out thru the 35, so it takes the edge off.

I love doing that to myself....it's great being the boss!

as for Bucket being cranky, I've never seen it...in fact I've owed him 600.00 bucks for a couple of months and he's hardly even mentioned it, no point in rocking the ship now, right?

It's $585.00 + a ride in the new Willie---remember!

Dr. Sol

I met this girl in a bar recently and was strangely attracted to her. Do you have any ideas why?

RIP Tim (Sol) and Tom (TBJ). Some funny dudes. Miss seeing PBJ (he hated it when I called him that) out on the Sound mooching.

Kinda freaky to dig up a thread that was started by, and directed at people who are deceased.

Never met Tim, though I always enjoyed his humor.
I recall him calling my raft a corn freighter, lol. Was going to introduce myself one day on the Cowlitz but his sled was too fast to say hello.

Fished the beach quite a few times with Tom (TBJ) and his dog who was always nearby. One of the better herring beach anglers I’ve ever seen.

What was freaky was my FB posted Tim's mom's birthday after I posted that.
