My wifes best friend and maid of honor in our wedding just started renting a really unique boathouse in Encinitas, a San Diego Suburb. The the local news just did a story on them, so we got video...check it out... pretty cool!

Brings up a question, have any of you ever lived on a boat for a spell, either in the water or out?

Damn good stuff, brings back memories of when I first moved to Seattle. A buddy of mine had a friend with a 50 foot sailboat and I had no place to live so I took it for the winter. $500 a month and I was right in front of Palisades and woke up daily to a million dollar view of downtown, mt rainier, seals, birds, fish etc...there were a few nights stumbling home from the bar during winter storms trying to get on the rocking, ice covered boat and nearly drowning along with hiking up in rainstorms to take showers that sucked but made for some interesting times. There were also a few MILF's that I stumbled into during happy hour at Palisades that I spun some great stories to about my Yacht being repaired but lets go down to my old backup sailboat for a nightcap...got booted off by the owner after his wife left him just before the nice summer weather hit...I'd do it again but would prefer it to be moored off a nude beach somewhere in the Caribbean. Its a 4-Diamond Span/Hotel/Casino.

If I ever leave Washington it'll be to move to North County. Encinitas is nice too.

Would not mind doing it again !

I don't know if I would really want to live on a permanently dry-docked boat Ryley...but I just might with her. The kids cracked me up....

She's hot! My sister lived on a boat once. My dad bought her a case of lemons as a joke so she wouldn't get scurvy. She had to row to shore in a dingy to buy groceries.

I would do it in a heartbeat. Umm,living on the boat that is hehe. Encinitas is a cool town.

I can help her with her port hole if needed.

I lived on a boat for 18 months in the Navy. Bunks 3 high and the guy above me had chronic gas.
