So what does a red-blooded Amercian boy do with 50 grand in cash after liquidation of some assets during a divorce? He buys a truck. I started with a 2008 Dodge Ram 4WD quad cab short bed Laramie, which is loaded with options to begin with, then I had the boys over at Dave Smith add a 6" lift kit, custom rims with 37" Toyo AT tires, stanless steel rocker panels, fender flairs, mud flaps, steps, etc. Stock the new 6.7 L Cummins is putting out 350 HP at 3,500 RPM, and this one has been chipped. Way too many little things to list so I won't try. Here's a few pics.

Me and Amato are outta here early in the AM headed for BC, so keep it cool and I'll chat with ya in a week or so.

Thats a fine looking ride. Patriot Blue is the same color I have. I went with the tried and true 5.9 in my '07 though. My Dad has the 6.7 is his new Ram. Its almost too quiet.

I want to say "hope you saved 20k of that for gas"...but it would only be out of jealous spite. Jealousy is the most honest compliment a man can get.

That's a sweet ass ride. I dig the color too.

Heavy engines eat BFG's for lunch. I burned through a set of BFG A/T's on my Cummins in 28,000 miles. I'm liking my Toyo M/T's so far.

I've gotta admit, I'm rather impressed with Toyo's new tires... good load rating, and they seem to last forever..

Myself, I'm fairly happy with my ProComp Xterrains, but I'm switching it up to an 18" wheel next time and going with the new Kumho MT \:\)

That would be because I own an IFS chevy, with a fabtech lift, and 38's are virtually a pipe dream with that particular lift, simply because of how much it widens the stance in the front, making turning with bigger tires almost unbearable.. But it's a hell of a nice lift, and drives awesome \:\)

I'd have to put a 3" body lift on just to clear 37's, and I hate body lifts....

Sol: A little story:

Once an elephant fell in a pit. A mouse in a big bad Dodge truck came along and pulled him out. Later the mouse fell in a deep pit. An elephant came along and said, "Don't worry little buddy, I will pull you out." The mouse said, "But Mr. elephant. You have no truck." The elephant said, "Watch this." The elephant then stood over the pit and lowered his dick down to the mouse. The mouse scampered up the elephant's dick and out of the pit. The moral of this story? If you have a big enough dick you done need a big truck.

I have a 3500 Dodge with the Cummings Diesel. Not sure what that says about me. I guess there are exceptions . . .

Threatened to lift mine like that, but then I'd have to help Corey in ... those days ended long ago.

Love the ride / traction out of the slightly oversize Toyo's I put on mine ... but wear isn't looking so good, but the AlCan trailer pull probably didn't help with that.

Nice truck Tim \:\)

Im getting old, I had new 4x4 pick ups for years. Drive them out of the showroom right to the tire shop. Put the big tires on.. very impressive. Then upgrade to a king cab huge, nice trucks more impressive. Then Divorce, liquidate and buy realestate instead. Tim took the alternate course.... nice truck I must say

That is one slick ride, just curious, how come a diesel?

Only reason I ask is that diesel is more expensive then regular octane.

Because with the front and rear possi I can put it in compound low and climb a brick wall with it without puting my foot on the throttle, and with the turbo it uncoils on the top end out on the freeway like no truck I've ever driven before.

I pay for it, it's mine \:\)

Actually, it may be just about time to retire it to pasture for my new work truck and get us a mega cab ... I'll do some searching. Then I'll have two of 'em Fishgal. I'll drive whichever one I want \:\)

Seriously, A/T's is what I put on, not the M/T's. Had them siped, and I don't know if that has hastened things or not, but I sure would hope for more for what it costs for tires on the beast!

You did'nt go wrong with the Dodge. I've had mine for two years and drive it like I stole it. Could'nt be happier with both mileage and unbreakable mechanics. Congrats.

Nice truck Tim. Congrats on the new wheels and your newly found freedom.

I know I'm a day late and a dollar short but whats new.

Been away from the board (and life) for a while...

Hey Tim, Run any complete cars over with your new truck while trying to pass Stam lately?

That pass in Forks was ultra ballsy...... but it was cool.

Actually, you can.

They showed you the right path. You chose to follow it. Plenty of others don't.

That deserves some credit in my book.

And yeah..........you're pretty cool.

I didn't come here for a love fest. C'mon, where's BJ!

You know how most of us come off online as a bunch of grizzled old fisherman who rule the roost at home. Drag the wife into the bedroom by the hair after finishing off the drumstick of the turkey we just killed in the back yard and cooked over a fire pit. But actually we're more like the guy in the commercial who paints his girlfriends toe nails and then asks her if she wants another coat on them.

Well, Aunty comes across as some submissive, back patting, "yes honey you are the greatest lover and husband I could ever ask for" type.

But, behind the screen she's probably some sex crazed xx year old wild, man beatin', "get me another beer old man, and DON'T forget my shot of Wild Turkey to wash that thing down with" types.

Am I close? ;\)
