Howdy all,

Life takes odd turns sometimes, and mine has, has well. I don't fish near as much as I used to, which is why I sold the other Clacka I bought a couple years back. My health isn't the greatest, and a full day of rowing pretty much wears me out for a couple days following. I still love to fish, but just not in the nasty weather and wearing myself out to where I'm wasted for a couple days. No, I'm not "terminal", but my illness can make life miserable if I let myself get run down...I hate being miserable!

I know I just bought this boat last March, but it has only been in the water less than a dozen times since. I took it back to the factory for a couple things that they needed to fix from it's production, and while it was there they gel coated the chines again, basically making it better than new.

The hull on this boat is as clean as they come...a couple little scratches down the center of the bottom, chines are purrfect! This is the "Cadillac" of the ClackaCraft lineup...it's big, comfortable and handles like a dream.

2007 18' ClackaCraft ClackaMax (18' 3" centerline measurement) with a 60" bottom.
Adams Custom Galvanized Trailer
9 1/2' Carlysle composite oars
Full custom-fit cover
Full adjusting bench seat in front, full storrage beneath
"Tractor Style" padded rowers seat with adjustable bench with full storage beneath
Rear seat on a storage pedestal, with removable support stand
Foot release 30# anchor and 100' of proper anchor rope, includes 50% reduction pully
Spare tire on trailer mount
3 ea. Folbe rod holders. 2 in flush mounts.

There's more, but I can't think if it all now. The boat is in mint condition,
but is currently stored outside. It was stored inside all last winter and Spring.

This boat, with the upgrades for the trailer, etc. was over $11,000 new just this year. I am asking $9,000.

If you have never rowed a ClackaMax, you will find they draw LESS water than the 16', and with a rower and 2 people up front it pulls plugs as well as any 16' out there. the boat can FISH up to 4 people without difficulty, and is rated at 6 total passengers. It can hold bunches of camping gear, and there is a nice floor area between the rowers bench and front seats where you could easily set up lounge chairs for doing tours. 4 passengers up front, one in back PLUS the rower.

It's a hellofa boat for most NW rivers!

Hey TRBO might want to get it off you, he was talking about setting T-bird up in the tourist biz, a little OP river sight-seeing trip/eagle watching/dragging a PW behind the boat/Bs'ing all day, kinda deal......

I can see T-bird @ the oars in that boat.....

I had T-Bird PLUS BroodBuster in the front seat, myself on the oars and then added Tim on the rear pedestal about half way down from Marblemount to Rockport.

River was running high and fast that day too! We pulled some plugs before we picked up Tim, but then it was a bit too much to handle pulling plugs, but we sidedrifted nice and the boat maneuvered well, although a bit nose heavy. We figured 1000 lbs of people + gear + the Brood's pup!

Charlie, Craig...Bryon...

The health is just part of it (I ain't terminal) and some of you know of the issues, sadly having to see it first hand. Well, sometimes things don't always get better when we want them too...

I'll still be fishing plenty, just not expending that level of energy in the cold-ass weather of winter.

No bites on the boat yet...is it too expensive?

Mike

I don't necessarily think you are asking too much but you just need to find the right person in a relatively small pool or people. 18 feet is probably a bigger boat than most want and people in the used market can generally find what they want for under $4k.

Someone will love this boat, you just need to find him. Maybe a guide?

I wish you all the luck with the sale and with your health. That boat really is sweet!

Yep-Sure is a beautiful boat that is just perfect for the PS rivers. With the flat floor and all the different storage area's it sure is a comfortable ride. And plenty of room for a pup to run back and forth :).

I agree with Kaiser that it will take the right buyer. Most people buy a db with dreams of running class III water in remote area's. Just need to find someone who likes to take kids and friends down the local river comfortably which is what this boat is perfectly designed for. Might also try and put up adds in the Montana/Wyoming area. I'd contact Clackacraft and see where they sell the most of those boats to and place adds there. When I was in Mt a couple of years ago Clack's where the predominant boat.

Mike-If you get the urge for some front seat time just give me a hollar!
