As a note on the calling ... our policy since day one 15 years ago. Clients call us two eves prior to trip. Too hard to track people down ... easier for them to call us as we know where we're gonna be
The day before the trip, if we ain't heard from them ...; then we track them down
3.24 inches of rain in Humptulips since the rain sarted yesterday.
Managed to hook about a dozens kingers yesterday with my guys in the critically low stuff, sent the same fellas home a few minutes ago with the rivers puked here ...
And the big one is coming Sunday night:
THE FLOOD POTENTIAL APPEARS QUITE PROBABLE FOR THE OLYMPICS... ESPECIALLY...ON MONDAY. 55-70 KT SW TRANSPORT WINDS COMBINED WITH A SATURATED AIR MASS WILL RESULT IN PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINS ON THE SW FACING SLOPES OF THE OLYMPICS AND CASCADES SUNDAY NIGHT THRU MONDAY. ENHANCEMENT OF THE RAINFALL RATES DUE TO STRONG OROGRAPHIC LIFT HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR PRODUCING RAINFALL AMOUNTS EXCEEDING 5 INCHES IN THE OLYMPICS. THUS WILL LIKELY NEED TO ISSUE A FLOOD WATCH THIS WEEKEND IF TRENDS PERSIST. IT ALSO APPEARS THAT IT WILL BECOME QUITE WINDY SUNDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE THRU MON ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA AS THE PRES GRADIENT TIGHTENS. SPEEDS MAY REACH ADVISORY CRITERIA...AT A MINIMUM...AT A NUMBER OF LOCALES DURING THIS PERIOD.
Some models are showing 6-8.5" of rain in a 24 hour period ...
Gotaa love it, one extreme to another!
