I'm enjoying the predicted winds of 20-30mph tomorrow.

That's making me all warm inside right now.

I just happen to be in the buisness of generating predicted hydrographes.

Given:
Basin=445 Square Miles
NOAA predicted 24-hour rainfall total=2.25"

Assumed:
Type-C soils
Undisturbed watershed CN=76
Time of Concentration=24 hrs

SBUH Output:
4,580 CFS by late Friday night. We'll see. smile

Too many leaves now for quickies. Could be awesome when they flush out. Time to stick to the bank. Can't wait for this weekend.

I was out on the coast today calling on a couple of my accounts and slinging lumber and it rained off and on but not enough to even get the ground moisture content back up. It is going to take alot of water to get us to where we need to be, I am sure everything will be able to fish this weekend and it will be good.

Peace

Fly- The little ditch behind my house hardly raised. These rivers aint gonna puke, no way! I can't see the rivers even get a little dirty. If the rivers were to raise enough to move some fish I know where we could fish on Saturday! Find a bottle neck and let out the kwikis.

Queets is already at 1100 and rising up hard and fast. I can't see that being fishable tomorrow.

Of course, Robbin Rhoades still hasn't gotten a hold of me yet.

Still don't know if I should say "screw it" and do a no show...or if I should just head out in the morning and hope for the best.

Man, I've been fishing with this guy for over 10 years now and he can't even find the time to call or email me. Not pleased.

Anyone here fished with him recently? His he still alive? What's the deal here?????

What would you guys do? Bail or go?

I'm going to sit here with my thumb up my butt until 9:00. I will make an executive decision at that time.

This sucks.

You could always bank the trib there if the main river is out and if timed right could be smokin.

But lookin at the Aberdeen Bill post maybe not the brightest fish....

Business is business. It's too far to drive for a crap shoot like that and the money involved. If he can't do the courtesy of a call to confirm, you are completely within your right to no-show and not feel bad about it.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Parker I agree with Eric, Guide can't call to confirm? Unbelievable. Too far to drive for a crap shoot. I would stick close to home.

Just my 2 cents worth also.

The Hump is 2300, I'm changing my plans. I think it's going to get worse before it gets better.

So I was wrong, she puked! I can't beleive it rose 2,000CFM last night. Heck I didn't think it really rained that much. Well at least the other rivers are holding well. Should be lights out for this weekend. Lets go get them.

As a note on the calling ... our policy since day one 15 years ago. Clients call us two eves prior to trip. Too hard to track people down ... easier for them to call us as we know where we're gonna be smile

The day before the trip, if we ain't heard from them ...; then we track them down smile

3.24 inches of rain in Humptulips since the rain sarted yesterday.

Managed to hook about a dozens kingers yesterday with my guys in the critically low stuff, sent the same fellas home a few minutes ago with the rivers puked here ...

And the big one is coming Sunday night:

Quote:
THE FLOOD POTENTIAL APPEARS QUITE PROBABLE FOR THE OLYMPICS... ESPECIALLY...ON MONDAY. 55-70 KT SW TRANSPORT WINDS COMBINED WITH A SATURATED AIR MASS WILL RESULT IN PERIODS OF HEAVY RAINS ON THE SW FACING SLOPES OF THE OLYMPICS AND CASCADES SUNDAY NIGHT THRU MONDAY. ENHANCEMENT OF THE RAINFALL RATES DUE TO STRONG OROGRAPHIC LIFT HAS THE POTENTIAL FOR PRODUCING RAINFALL AMOUNTS EXCEEDING 5 INCHES IN THE OLYMPICS. THUS WILL LIKELY NEED TO ISSUE A FLOOD WATCH THIS WEEKEND IF TRENDS PERSIST. IT ALSO APPEARS THAT IT WILL BECOME QUITE WINDY SUNDAY NIGHT AND CONTINUE THRU MON ACROSS MUCH OF THE AREA AS THE PRES GRADIENT TIGHTENS. SPEEDS MAY REACH ADVISORY CRITERIA...AT A MINIMUM...AT A NUMBER OF LOCALES DURING THIS PERIOD.
Some models are showing 6-8.5" of rain in a 24 hour period ...

Gotaa love it, one extreme to another!
