So who does that leave...... Edwards? Richardson? My father in-law is active in the democratic party in New Mexico as well as at a national level. He thinks Richardson is the most qualified , He does not have the warchest of the others and will suffer as a result. Richardson will either be a VP or senior cabinet position.

What I think is interesting is that the current political climate probably makes it possible for a woman to be elected president for the first time in history. If only she wasn't Hillary. Same goes with a minority, unfortunately the front runner in that category is woefully inexperienced politically.

We have had white men for the past 230 years and a chimp could have done better than what we've had the last 7. The republican canidates may act like it would be more of the same but right now a few of them would say anything to get the nomination. Romney has flipped more than Kerry did during the entire last election and he hasn't won the nomination yet. Mcain had his mom out with him the other day to show that he too could live a few more years, she is in her 90's. Huckaby might get the conserative base but he won't be getting the independents and they will determine the election again in most areas. The democrats have spent the last 4 years strengthing their base and will get more voters to the polls then in years past. Edwards will be showing better in the next weeks as the primarys move to the south and Huckaby will also do better there. No dobut Romney has spent the most so far and will continue to spend as long as he thinks he has a chance. To date he has spent over $17 million of his own money. Remember his dad was govenor on Michigan from 63 to 69 and ran for the republican nomination but lost early and dropped out of the race. Mitt was with his dad on the campaign and learned a lot like how to switch sides to win. His father never switched his opinions and lost.

What do the dems do when Hillary flip-flops? They call it being progressive. It's okay if a dem flops around, it's called change, or new hope. LOL. Gawd forbid a republican changes their views on something...that's scary!

I accept the nomination. My first act as secretary of state Will be to teach all Arabs to fly fish. If they are so occupied I think they might keep out of trouble. Ideally I kinda of like Ron Paul. I was listening to him on Jay Leno and the audience seemed to like his ideas. I kinda of agree with him on foreign policy, taxes, national debt, social security, personnel liberties, reduced taxes, reduced government. I'm independent and I consider myself a moderate but fiscally conservative. Maybe a little to the left of center on some social issues and environmental issues. I have some libertarian in me. I guess BJ would consider me a liberal environmental wacko.

I watched the debates Rep and Dem. If I had a choice for Rep. I think McCain is the lesser of the evils. I liked what Bill Richardson and John Edwards had to say. I'm not sure who is better between Clinton and Obama. I just don't want to see another 4 yrs of Bush's bad economic policies and corporate welfare if we elect a Republican.

I feel your pain Steelheadman. What I like about Ron Paul is that even if I don't agree with his position, at least he gives a straight answer. There is no slick politician speak. I also like that he is coming from a place of PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY for his actions. Can we get KK to press our politicians to perform just like us people out in the real world with real jobs? The Democratic National Committee still wants my money, but they weren't interested in hearing that the nation won't elect a candidate from the northeast or west coast or a woman or a black. In an election that's likely to be as close as the last two, you'd think the party would run a candidate that can pick up another 1% of the votes here and there. Edwards and Richardson are the candidates who could. Clinton and Obama, regardless of their qualifications, alienate far more than that just for being female and black. Doesn't matter that people ought not be that way; what matters in an election is that people really are that way.

I have to say that I'm surprised that with females holding all of our State's high posts, that there isn't a blow out "Hillary" support group staunchly proclaiming her assets.
