Gah!! Another reason to hate Washington! Dark at 3:30. Grilling rules, Grilling by flashlight blows.

That's why I never grill 2" ribeye's past 3:30pm this time of year. 300 degree's @ 35 minutes.

Well I've got charcoal in the grill and it's about time to go light the fire. Oh yeah, it's dark. But I got this cool little battery powered LED outdoor light I fastened to the BBQ bench a couple years ago. Got it at Costco. I haven't cooked a steak indoors for several years now. Used to use an electric broiler, but decided to figure out a way to enjoy BBQ year round - under cover from rain and the light so's I can cook in the dark. Yum; must get to it.

You can make up for it in June when you're out grilling like a mofo at 9:30 pm.

It has been said on this board, and I a reckon a good family man is good for three things, give or take. And one is BBQ.

I had lights installed on my deck for winter grilling. I do get a little sick of wearing the raincoat though.

You all have smokers. This time of year put in a brisket the day before like I did or ribs or.....and get on with your life.

I just love the way he rubbed the steaks down, and then proceeded to sliced the tomatoes and Onions without washing. Or, handling steaks, and then sticking his fingers into the salt container,....... again without washing. Seems like this guy could knock off a surprising number of eager and willing PP members, with the e-coli virus.

If I go to a bar-b-que, and see the food handled like it was in the video, I would steer clear of those delicacies The steaks would be fine, if he hadn't place the under cooked veggies on top of them. Those red juicy tomatoes in the salad?...they could kill you in about a week. The Health Department, would have it's hands full, trying to trace any and all bites, that you may have shared with friends, or serve to a child, that's too young to serve themselves; therefore, you placed the bites into their mouth for them.

The video should be used as a, how not to grill a steak bar-b-que dinner PSA. Now, can someone pass me the salt please. Need a little pinch for the beautiful red and juicy tomatoes.

I somehow think that when it comes time to pat me in the face with a shovel, it won't be because I didn't follow the Health Dept. recommendations.

With all the camp fire food I've gorged on, raw burgers I've eaten, creek water I've drank, and lead from sinkers that I have bitten and ground in my skin.... Not to mention the women I've....never mind....I better go wash my mouth out.

Here's to a long, "ain't skeered of no bugs" life.
