They will be on the rise soon down here! Johnson creek (runs into Willy) was punched as hell today. Detroit, OR has over 150 inches of snow on the ground (@1600ft), I-5 south into Cali is closed. Snow has to melt sometime... ;\)

You're both right and wrong. Unless the snow level jumps up to 7,500 ft. or so the Sky will not rise more than a blip.

But IMHO, come June, fishing is WAY better for summer runs and kings if the water is higher and has some color to it versus the low/clear crap that results when there is no significant snow pack.

Pet peeve alert! Please do not call the Wallace hatchery chinook "springers"......they are summer chinook. If you have ever cut into one and seen their crappy meat you would never call them springers again.

the hell it isn't, it was nice the past week not having any guide jackasses buzzing me with their 22', 100+hp boats...

i agree on higher levels, but not blown like it was last opener. i call them springers untill july1st typically then they become summer runs. but i have not cut into a wallace king yet.
