Haven't made a post in awhile cuz I haven't been fishing much at all. The snow on the slopes was on my mind and once I got up there earlier in December the itch to scratch was of the boarding kind. Ya know once ya start scratching an itch, well, it's hard to stop. So, scratching that itch is what I've been doing. Although I am not up to speed as far as my quality of boarding since that accident last year, it is still fun and actually, I board better then I walk. I can still hit some steeps, and get some speed, but the cool part is my kids are getting to be pretty decent, and the very best part is they absolutely love it. Boarding is cool 'cus it can be a casual, social thing done with friends, a fun thing done with the family, or a full throttle thrill done alone. All have been in the mix lately. Even got to enjoy some mountain time with that legendary figure known as Sol on the Duc. Soon, the famous world traveler known as Stam, Stamalicious, or Panama Pimp the ladies man Stam will be up to join the fun in his one piece long underwear.

Here is some pics.

My kid and his buddy at Baker.

The ride up can be beautiful.

My kid and two of his buddies on the lift. It was a good day by all.

A sweet spot....

Sweet Baker terrain.

The kid and I.

My kid and his buddy attempting a jump off the cat track next to the parking lot, first attempts didn't quite work, seconds did.

Random shots.

Bondebud on the lift on the backside, the best place to be when at Stevens. I'll get more shots of her Friday doing her thing.

Me and Cheryl hit the backside, Corona Bowl is the fav., but it's all pretty much good back there.

And this is what I look like after a face plant.

The daughter Lexi on her board, she has fun and loves it, pretty cool.

With her cousins.

Shots from the island.

Sol hangin with us and Betsy stopped by before we went out.

Jennifer approving of Sol's Post before we head out.

Sol in the front seat of the taxi on the way to a going away party.

The dude Sol playing the Wii with mine and his kids on their visit.

The girl the party was for.

Coolest post yet. My nickname was SKI for years. 10 years of hardcore freestyle on MOGULS ONLY with my soft 207's pretty much wiped my knees out. What I miss the most is the scenery that you provided.

Get a board and get back up there, bro. Having both legs strapped to a board takes knee injuries out of the equation.

Cool post, Richard.

Great pics.
One of my brothers was up at Whistler last weekend and the snowpack is not what we have. He had to watch out for rocks. If his wife's company hadn't paid for the room, he would have come back and skied at Stevens also.

Can you say "night owls" ? That picture of the taxi was taken at 10:30 pm, and we were just leaving the house to go party. I don't think I've ever been to Whidbey and gotten to bed earlier than 3:00 am.

First couple pics look like the road to Baker? We used to ski up there when it was only open Fri-Sun. We'd watch the weather all week and take those Fridays off of school or work and hit it when they had at least a few feet of new. Unbelievable skiing.

One trip a buddy bit it into one of those tree wells and if we hadn't seen him go into it he'd have been riding down in a body bag. Pretty impressive stuff.

Great pics. Time to call Bob. If we're not fishing tomorrow I might have to grabs the boards..

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

Man, seeing those pics this morning before I left for work, then seeing the snow on the ground and the blue sky coming my way almost made me skip work again. I'd better quit looking at those runs lest I become homeless. Thanks for sharing.

53" of new snow the last 72 hours at Stevens. 95" past 7 days. We were heading up today, but guess what, closed today due to too much snow, they got more than they oringinally thought this morning and have to dig out. WOW.
