I just got a new boat, with a new Baker trailer. I hooked up the trailer lights, and everything works except for the turn signals. I was told I would have to change out the signal flasher which is in the fuse panel (truck). Does anyone else have these new trailer lights, and did you have any problems with them ?

Nope, have them on my trailer and never had an issue with any rig I've pulled it with.

May be a bad ground. Stick a test light on your plug on the vehicle & make sure you're getting a signal.

Normally flasher units fail when the load is too high. If you have LED they draw much less than a regular bulb.

A bad ground would affect every light. Something is wrong with the circuit. It could be on the trailer. If your lights work without the trailer, hook up a test light to each pin and ground to the bumper. If they dont all work correctly, then you have a bad connection on the vehicle.

If the vehicle checks out, you probably a have a hot wire going to ground. In general the insulation has been rubbed off. If they hooked up the trailer lights wrong you could have several different results. Since im not familiar with LED lights, I dont know what they typically use for ground circuits and how many hot leads they use.

Not an LED expert, but just happened to rewire my trailer with LED's today. When originally hooked up on side would not work?! Found out it was a bad ground and once grounded properly everything looks sweet!

I had a problem with my trailer lights. One of my fishing buddies came over and we found the problem. A fuse was blown in the truck, in the box under the hood. We replaced it and they worked again.
