That's two quality backs there. Duckett will get the ball on short yardage plays and Jones is power and speed. Looks like a no brainer for a tight end with their first pick or possible o line man.

o lineman hopefully. what good is having a great running back w/ no holes to run through? Or a great tight end w/ lame pass protection? Dude they just picked up a quality left guard from the Panthers...

We need more help on the O line than just the left gaurd. Walter Jones is good but he aint gonna last forever

They need to get a stud te to groom for the future. The Hawks have never had a great te, vital for the wc offense.

Alexander was so slow this year that it was painful. He is past his prime.

Seattle already picked up a TE Jeb Putzier. I would like to see the Hawks pick up another guard in free agency. I've heard rumors about Jake Scott the guard from Indy or Hadnot who is a guard/center. It just depends on how much cap room we have if we either trade SA or cut him. The Hawks will pick up a DT in the 1st round, maybe Balmer.

Well Darby is now gone...Hawks could use a big runner stopper too.

leave it to a coug to think Jeb Putzier is an upgrade.... What other tight ends are out there? Crumpler is gone. There's no TE's worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Just allows the Hawks to go after interior lineman. I'm not sure if Putzier is that great but he as to be just as good as Pollard. You just don't like him because he's from Boise St. Too bad Stevens was a bust.

Looks like they will cut Alexander after June 1 to lessen the salary cap hit...draft will be interesting as there are two legit late first round tight ends Fred Davis USC and a dude from Purdue but dont remember his name right off.
DT is by far our biggest weakness right now so I assume they go that route in round 1 or 2 for sure. More depth at the OL and a TE somewhere in the first 3 rounds.
Salary cap is carrying 10 million in dead money from released players over the past few years...5 mil or so just from Wistrom. It hurts to release once star players and prorate the cap hit over a few years, that is the only reason they might keep alexander around imo. We are still the best team in the west and will win our 5th straight title this year but Paul Allen just jacked my season ticket prices another 10% which was not cool...cheers

Keller is the TE from Purdue, quick great hands (needs to learn to block) and then Davis from USC, are easily worth a late 1st round pick, and would be a steal in the 2d round.

Nice to get some fresh legs in the backfield, but unless that o-line is greatly improved (which I think they almost fixed it) you can put any rb back there you want and they are going nowhere. Sure Shaun sat down a few times, but game after game the defense would pour through that o-line as he took the handoff. Barry Sanders is about the only rb I can think of that could make runs happen with absolutely no blocking support. Shaun is no Barry Sanders. The running game will improve this year - not so much because of who is running the ball, but because of the improvements made to the o-line and possibly because they got a new 0-line coach. my .02
