Any big plans?...other than spending it at the pump. I'm diffentley buying a bbq Weber kettle. And maybe a fishing license. Some on the wife and kids, and the rest in the bank. Oh and if needed a few bucks will go towards the sniper defense fund. http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=179181,00.htmlMf

Buy a tank of gas and then go pick an item from the dollar menu at McD's.
Mine is all being set aside as fishing cash. Fuel, tackle, etc.

I have to pay off the rest of a Condo rental in Maui. I was going to use the rest to fuel the old Roth IRA, but the way the VISA stock has been going, I will just probably buy more of that.
I feel like I'm too young to be liquid so I always put it somewhere. I still have school loans but the interest rates are low enough I feel that I can safely invest it somewhere.

I'm still young and financially secure. I'm going to invest the $1800 and enjoy the rewards when I retire in 25 years.
Screw the "Boost to the economy" idea. Y'all can do that for me.
Me smart.

I hear there is an income cut off point on those checks is that accurate? Someone told me I am screwed It's true but don't worry. Your tax dollars will go to help some needy person who didn't pay into the system in the first place. You should feel good about that. Robinhood is just doing his job. Is it true that these rebate checks are going to be taxed as income in '08?

I hear there is an income cut off point on those checks is that accurate? Someone told me I am screwed If you're single and had an Adjusted Gross Income of more than $75,000 or married with more than $150,000... you won't get screwed completely... you'll get a calculated percentage less than the maximum amounts of $600 for single, $1,200 married. I think you get the $300 per child claimed as a dependant on your 1040 no matter what though? You can go to www.irs.gov to get your questions answered. Is it true that these rebate checks are going to be taxed as income in '08? I'm pretty sure NO.

Say, i thought those tax cuts in 2001 and 2003 where supposed to be the cure all for the economy. When is that going to trickle down? So now we need "stimulus" that is borrowed money that will get vacuumed up by the oil company's. What a scam !!!
