A new employee from Alaska asked if I knew where she could buy some reindeer sausage in the area. I found a website from Alaska where it can be ordered but anyone know if there's a place in Western Wash. where it's available?

It all boils down to this - I'm right, everyone else is wrong, and anyone who disputes this is clearly a dumbfuck.

That is some good stuff.

I was in Anchorage a couple weeks ago and every morning I went with reindeer sausage and eggs.......because it was damn good.

I haven't found it locally yet......but I'm keeping my eye out for it now.

Try Seattles finest exotic meats. Its on 99 in North Seattle. If it walks and is edible they probably have it. Awsome farm raised elk, venison, and gator too. Good Luck.-TBJ

Not looking to offend anyone but I think farm raised wild critters should not be sold. Period.

You want wild game meat go kill it yourself with the proper tag.

I can't believe I'm typing this but I think grain/corn fed anything (let alone deer/elk) is just wrong.

Tom pick up a copy of The Omnivors's Diemma before heading to Hawaii.

I've eaten a lot of corn fed beef but I've changed my tune on that.

Yeah I realize that I've got two arguments going on here...

seastrike is right. Our domesticated animals aren't meant to eat corn....Unless they get slaughtered, they'll die from eating a straight corn diet shortly enough....

I've been in the meat business 30 years this August.
seen things go full circle.
Started with range raised grass fed cattle.
The meat was purple & the fat yellow.
Went to corn "finished" cattle, pretty red meat, snowy white fat.
See the greenies wanting range reared grass fed stuff again, the stuff has a slight gamey flavor that you can even smell when cutting it.

Me, I'll die a few years younger, but gimme a thick, grain fed ribeye grilled medium rare, a baked spud with real butter , sour cream & chives and a SMALL salad with bleu cheese dressing.
A side order of warm french bread with a big pad of real butter.

My freezer is always full of wild meat that I eat several days a week.
Love it all.
But that sweet tender beef is the king...

Ahhhh.....
That red hot burn of a chromer, that first piece of ass with the chick that is wayyy tooo good for you, walking up on that giant buck that you just killed that makes you weak in the knees. watching your kid do the things that you only dreamt of doing, AND the perfect ribeye... truly the good things in life.

Wow Sal......
I like a guy that's enthusiatic about his meat.

Avid - between your post and your sig line, that's some good advertising. I'll pass your offer along to the lady. Of course, bear in mind, you have not seen what she looks like!

I just drove to Cordova AK along the Alcan. The first major resaurant past Whitehorse was Fasty Eddys in Tok. They had awsome reindeer sausage omelets.
