Is it me, or is there a defect with the "My Stuff & PM" section of this bulletin board/web site?

I don't receive a lot of PMs, and maybe it's partly because I don't notice when I receive one, so I am days late in replying to them. The reason I don't notice when I receive one is because the damn white blinky flag, which I assume is to notify me when I get a new PM, blinks all the damn time, when I have a new message, when I don't have a new message, after I've checked for messages, and replied to messages. Oh, just to make this harder to figure out, sometimes the white flag doesn't blink, but that is the exception. It's been blinking non-stop, and I haven't had a new message since May 15th.

Is this how it's supposed to work? Is that how it is on your computer for this site? No other bulletin board I use has such a defective PM notifying mechanism. I'd like this thing to work properly. I'd also like to get up to speed and put up an avatar photo again.

My guess is there is one pm down on your list that you haven't checked. Maybe really old.

You sure you've read every PM?

It will blink at you until all PM's are read, regardless of when they were received.

You sure you didn't "accidentally" steal someone's PM, and it's in your inbox now?

I've never had a problem with the PM system here, except for forgetting to empty them out and not receiving new ones, and there is no notification to the sender that "the person's inbox is full and your PM was not rec'd by them"...that's a fix that should be done.

It's blinking...the white flag...I can't take much more....blinking and blinking...never ending....

I think it should be changed to a really annoying blink once a month then it would be the PMs flag.

Hey Thanks Salmo Fixed the blinky thing and cleaned out some real old / dead messages. Kumbaya

Naturally I would love to blame Parker, but it was Kannectok Kid who removed himself from a PM thread a couple months ago, but the PM was over a year ago and not even on my first page of PMs, so it went unnoticed. Apparently that's why it's been blinking constantly the last two months no matter how many times or messages I checked and rechecked.

Todd, how can you steal a PM, accidentally or otherwise? You're just trying to jerk me around aren't you? I count myself blessed just to be able to navigate this website and post stuff and send PMs - I think. If I figure out how to post my avatar and photos in threads - watch out, I might run amuck!
