When I told my wife (before the primary) that I was thinking of changing to Libertarian, she eloquently stated "go right ahead, then you'll have no one to vote for."

Actually, by being independant, you can choose anyone with no need to follow the herd.

Libertarian is more a philosophy than a party right now. Vote for the folks least likely to screw with the rights you hold dear. Some day there will be a candidate that thinks like me. (God help the world if that happens)

When your ego is so large that you think that the average citizen needs you to lead them, the ego will eventually spiral out of control with the idea that you are above the organic stew of humanity.
We mere plebians need to put a few of these corrupt pieces of work in the "pound it in your azz' prison cell with a 300 lb guy that likes to spoon and make a pay-per-view reality show out of it. Maybe we can pay ourselves back for the ripoffs of public funds.

The government no longer serves the citizenry, they think the citizenry should serve them.

Term limits are just a babysitter for a lazy electorate, and the lazy electorate is reaping what they've sown.

Always kills me when the elected think they are smarter than the electorate that put them there.

I didn't put this up as a hit piece on the repub's, they just don't need more bad press right now.

We are the roman empire - an entrenched, bureaucratic, superfluous, corrupt government involved in warfare throughout the world. The dollar is the currency of the world, but once it isn't, say goodbye to empire. We need a "benevolent dictator" - I'll vote for Dogfish, Dan S, and KK as the front runners.

There would be blood in the streets if I were ever elected President. Summary executions would come back into fashion for child molesters, rapists, and anyone purposely hurting a child.

Well Dogfish gets my vote. But only if I get to help by being a judge. My decision making process would be quite simple. It would consist of a flowchart. On the first box it would say:

"Did the person commit the crime?"
If no then proceed to release. If yes, then proceed to next box.

"What was the crime?" Consult simplified accusations manual.

Did someone else get hurt? If yes, see punishment 1.
Did someone else die? If yes, see punishment 1
Did suspect do anything to a kid? If yes, see punishment 1.
Did they steal something? Meaning, did they not ask for what they took? If yes see punishment 2.
Was it a horse? If yes see punishment 1.

Punishment 1:

Death by public execution, decided by immediate family members of victim if victim is unable to decide or too pussy liberal to sentence death. Executioner will be decided by competition between most eager members. Competition matter based on what judge sees fit i.e. game of dodge ball, circle track race on chariot, gladiatorial games, etc.

Punishment 2:

Dismemberment of guilty party's selected body part. Selectee will lose part based on the affected party's choice. Only one body part shall be selected per offense.

I was on vacation in Ireland back in May. I had a couple pints at a place called the King's Head in Galway. One of my customers grew up in Spain under the rule of Franco. He told me that it was oppressive in some regions under Franco, but they had no rape, pedophiles, or murderers to speak of as people were too afraid of what would definitely happen to them if caught.
