Washington's leading tackler Savannah academically ineligible

SEATTLE -- The Washington football team's leading tackler E.J. Savannah is academically ineligible.
He's not on the Huskies' roster Monday as they begin fall camp in Seattle, although he could be added later.
The linebacker led the team with 111 tackles last season and was Washington's defensive player of the year.
Savannah broke his arm in the offseason in a non-football related incident, but the team expected him to be ready for the start of the season.

Poor decision?
He wasn't smart enough to pick a school that could take him somewhere, my guess is that he is genuinely dumb.
Though.....why should that exclude him from playing football? Good chance that he will make more money than all of us put together and never once even have to know his ABC's.
Let the smart college guys work 10 hours a day 6 days a week so they can buy box seats and watch him play football wishing they were more like him, not much point in trying to polish a pig though, it would be somewhat like requiring the class valedictorian to "go short....across the middle" in order to eligable for his classes. So certain schools can do something with dumb people and others can't?

ah i had to get it started, i was a little dissapointed we were only picked 2nd in pac 10 and 15th ranked in the nation...just have to prove it on the field i guess...cheers

Keep your tails up Dogs! I remember when we Ducks got our asses handed to us every year. I hated the drive back north getting the razz from every Husky passing by.
Your day is coming. It always does. In the meantime, suck it up! I just hope that new replay screen in Autzen doesn't distract the boys too much. They'll be so busy trying to watch the reruns they'll run out of time.
As far as the roids go, they were worse in the 80s than they are now. Just look at some of those puffed up pusses in the old pictures.

Hasty attended Bellevue and I do believe Savannah did to. They got a head start in a college type program where it seems they got treated like kings and learned their arrogant selfish behavior that they might have gotten away with in high school but it is coming back to bite them. Just an opinion from the peanut gallery. Too many high school programs are getting wayyy out of control, but if you want to win now a days, unfortunately for the kids that's the way it's going.
