I was debating with a buddy of mine, who the best Seattle Seahawk of all time was? He was saying Steve Largent but I was leaning towards Walter Jones. Kinda hard to argue with Largent though. Here is one of my favorite Seahawk moments. Steve Largent took a cheap shot from Harden of the Broncos and stood over him talking trash. Largent retallies with a vicious hit after an interception by Harden....pay back is a mf'r!!!!! What are some of your favorite Seahawk moments or Players? http://www.dropshots.com/tcsenn#date/2006-03-28/19:19:07

Definitely Walter Jones. The guy has been the top player at his position for almost his entire career. Just watch him, game in game out, he owns whoever he is going against and always has. #45 was a great Seahawk. He could really bring the hurt. I really enjoyed watching him as a youngster. I loved it when he returned punts. 6'-3", 215# punt returner in 1984? NFL films Kenny Easley video That Largent clip is a classic. He is one of the great Seahawks for sure.

Largent. Not the biggest, not the fastest, but tremendous desire to win and probably best hands ever in NFL.
I agree Duc, that hit by Largent was huge, did both hits happen in the same game?

I'm going to have to go with Kenny Easley...too bad he got sick and didn't get to play out his entire career.
We had some great players early on that didn't get all that much attention because our team was so bad, especially on defense...Jacob Green comes to mind. Jim Zorn was an excellent QB, Largent couldn't have gotten where he did without him, without a doubt...and that was all being done by the two of them without the benefit of much help up front.
How about Efren Herrera's fake field goals and onside kicks? Remember when he recovered his own onside kicks, or caught passes on fake field goals?
Jack Patera was a grade A #1 asshole, IMHO, but he sure made a bad team fun to watch with all the tricks and gizmos he was running out there.
Fish on...

Hasselbeck will be by the time he is done, hes the only one who consistently wins playoff games, took us to the superbowl and if he does that again he gets my vote.

I think Largent served up that hit "cold" later in the season.

Its hard to pick an overall best but I will side with Walter Jones. Its easier by position
O line..................... Walter Jones QB .................. Matt Hasselbeck FB...................... Mack Strong RB.........................Shaun Alexander (prior to payment) WR......................Steve Largent D Line ..................Cortez Kenedey

If you give it to Jones on the line you better mention Huchinson in the same breath. Tough to say it was only Walter over there with how the running game took a crap after steve left. I think many on the team now will go down as well. Alexander for sure at RB. Hasselbeck at QB. Probably see Tatupu at LB if he keeps his nose clean. Even Truphant at corner since we have only had guys out there that sucked a$$. Time will tell...........Damn this is getting me ready for the season, bring it already.

If you give it to Jones on the line you better mention Huchinson in the same breath. You are correct, Hutch was a bad ass and is still one of the best in the league. He was only on the seahawks for a handful of seasons, and not really a candidate for best ever in my book. I think longevity with the team and community interaction should count.

My favorite all time is Easley.
I also liked Jacob Green and don't forget Dave Brown. Brown had 62 career interceptions.

J7, I would have to go with John L Williams at full back, possibly the best fb of all time.

Dan Doornink. Beats Steve Largent in my book on the basis of his overall versatility.
I bet a lot of you here never even heard of him. Disgusting.
