We have them where I work also, along with the blow hard gasbags that repeat everything they hear on Rush and think it is the truth. I don't care for extreamist on either side. I read up a bit on the "firing scandal". Apparently what it stems from is that the governor's ex-brother-in-law made threats to kill her dad, and had the means to do so. If a trooper made threats to kill Gregoire's dad (not sure if he is alive still, as she's pretty old ) and she pushed for said trooper's firing, and a public official balked at that, what would folks say about that public official? A trooper investigation showed that the ex-brother-in-law did indeed make those threats.

The public official that was fired also had some additional personal issues.

If that is the worst that they can come up with, or her husband's 20+ year old DUI, or her pregnant daughter.....????

I guess that the sex education they receive in Alaska is Abstinence Only education, nothing about pregnancy prevention. I see that didn’t work very well. It is kind of funny that McCain had only met her once and from that meeting he was able to determine she would make a great V.P.

Time will tell if she will stick it out. National politics is a lot dirtier than state politics. I bet if she drops out McCain is sunk for sure, another questionable decision by a man that may be to old to be president.

I'm not real big into religion either, so I'll put a big -1 next to both her and Obama's name. They cancel each other out there.

She's a card carrying member of the Apocalyptic Lunatic Fringe of the Christian Coaltion...the ones that think we ought to utterly use the world into dust, since we'll all be experiencing Rapture here pretty darn quick...no use in letting it go to waste, I mean, we can't take it with us, right?

It's one thing to believe in God...fine. It's another thing to be part of an organized religion, whose first goal is try and remove as much spirituality as possible and turn it into a power and money game, right from the get go.

It's even worse when you're an arrogant enough prick (or prickette) to think that your radical views are actually those of God, and that you're on some sort of heavenly mission, not only sanctioned by God, but actually commanded by him to do it.

That's George Bush, and that's why little things like facts and logic play very little roles in decisionmaking...it gives you the luxury of acting from the gut, rather than having to think, or consider consequences, or any other difficult things like that.

It's also Sarah Palin.

That's why I was saying within hours of her being picked by McSame that rather than catering to the center to try and steal Hillary voters with someone like Hutchison, he instead when full sail the other way and picked a lunatic, in order to kowtow to the lunatic fringe...the Christian right.
