I dug out 560 feet of ditch with my bare hands, now I am doing final grading with pick and shovel. Sounds better that way.

For McCain it wasn't to bad of a speech...But enough with the same ol stories...He sounded like he had great ideas, but didn't follow up with how it would be done. If you watch the canidates speeches back to back, you'll notice a difference in idea then answer, idea then answer. Only Obama consistanty gave you that feeling of how it would be accomplished...
I did enjoy the fact that McCain didn't led on to the fact that he didn't care for our current administration...He didn't say BUSH once!!!!

Hank: Dry Erase...................... yup. If someone doesn't play along and at least attempt to come up with a path to 270 for McCain't, I might just have to drag that thing out once again, and point out how : 1. McCain't needs to win almost all the 'battleground states, as they were all Bush states. 2. Obama only needs to win a couple, maybe even one and hold the Kerry states to win. 3. McCain't will not win all the Bush states, his own campiagn knows it very well. 4. McCain't is only close in 2 Kerry states, Obama is leading or toss up in more than 5 Bush states. If you're running a campaign, wouldn't you want to running Obama/Biden, as oppsed to McCain't/Caribou Barbie's ? Assuming you want to win of course. KK- For being an astute observer of political machinery, you missed the totally obvious flaw in your thinking. Bush didn't get all the electoral votes both times. Well, until the supreme court said so and ................

It's a beaut. 560 feet long, approximately 400 feet of it is 24" deep or more (not including the berm between the ditch and the property, which is anothe 2 feet higher), and 4 feet wide, while the other 160 feet is 24" wide and averages 18" deep, but this is at the headwaters of the ditch. Total average slope from beginning to end is 2.51%.

I thought folks would find a discussion of my new ditch more fascinating than what McCain or Palin said. Apparentlyt KK, Parker & Dan S agree. It also makes a great fighting position, should the need ever arise.

Yeah, I'm gonna bury an engineer and a city administrator. Don't worry, RR, you're safe.

Toss a lawyer in that mass grave ditch of yours, and I'd call it perfect! PS. That ditch kinda makes me want to come over with an E tool, an M1 and a fixed bayonet! Oh wait, that's a trench, not a ditch. Sorry. Was having some WWII flashbacks again.

I thought the speech, while decent was poorly written. Too many heroic phrases that McCain spoke as if totally canned and as flat as a pancake. The words were good, but his delivery was pitiful..punching the wrong words and at the wrong times.
Still, that chick get's yer attention, and while they are really playing up her Alaskan toughness, McCain isn't making any friends in Washington by acting like she is some political bulldog he's bringing in to clean the place up.
ISO ISO, no one could handle those interuptions and the chanting. You break the flow and the emphasis of the speech. Code Pink got into the convention using passes of the Ron Paul (interviewed on radio, she said disgruntled republicans) in order to disrupt the speech. The man cant raise his hands over his head. He walks with a limp. He doesnt have the booming voice of Fred Thompson or an actors delivery. Sometimes you have to focus on the words. As far as friends go in Washington, its the very last consideration. Democrats are in control. He was talking to the moderates, who dont like the divisive nature of politics. Frankly, Id like to see someone throw the trash out on both sides. How many tell all books are written by congressman and senators. Ive yet to find one. Oh, I also hear that more than 38 million people watched his speech.

Latest Poll: 47% Obama 43% Mcain 10% Undecided Looks like the Republican convention really swung the public opinion. Cant wait for the debates.-T

C'mon MF, lets see some of that analytical prowess you're packin', and just come up with a list of states McCain't is likely to win that add up to 270, use any major state polling data. Here you go KK. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080906/ap_on_el_pr/campaign_lookaheadAin't over until McCain says it's over.... Mf
