I'm sure you have already thought of this, but you might want to hand out flyers, or post some where on the camp grounds, on the how to handle these nates to measure and photograph. I for one am clueless being the total cracker that I am.

I've got TRBO booked for 3-31-07, so lets do it that weekend. Then will see if I can row Bob into a tourny winner in his own boat!! C/22......

Funny you should mention that. I was just going over a few of those points in this permit/rulz boondoggle. I still have to sit down with Fly but here are my thoughts on those two issues. A rainout option is a good idea. Lets tentatively schedule Saturday March 24th as the day of the derby with the following weekend, Saturday March 31st as a fall back date in case the rivers get blown. Guides are welcome to participate IF they pay and register like everyone else. Winners MUST catch their own fish. This means if clients fishing with a guide pay and register they are eligible to win if they catch, fight and play their own fish. Likewise with the guide. Plug caught fish will require both guide and angler to be participants for obvious reasons. I'll get back to you guys with a final list of rulz after this weekend.

C/22...... BOB, aka TRBO...be AFRAID, VERY AFRAID!!!!!!! Be sure to put flourescent labels on each oar designating it as RIGHT or LEFT, and also add arrows on each oar showing FORWARD and BACK directions. It is imperative that Chrome/22 gets some practice on the sticks BEFORE you hook-up on a fish. If I do recall this correctly????????? "I was scenting a tad for ISO When out of his mouth these words blow I'm into a FISH!! Grab the oars you biatch!! Good lord I wish you could ROW!" ".................. Mike p.s. Brad: I KNOW with a few more "lessons" (aka beatings) from me I'm sure you would learn to row just fine..

There should be plenty of bank opportunity as well, correct Tim? Or is this a boat only event?

Haha.. Gotcha.. So I'll just gather up 15 of my best friends, I'll enter, and whoever's rod goes off, they'll let me grab it, and I'll split the pot with em? hehe.. I think the whole bank fishing deal will just have to be on the honor system?
I've got a suggestion.. What about limiting it to one or two available rods, and photos of the rod or reel in the fish pic with a fixed, tamper evident band on it with the gear still in the fishes mouth?

You might want to make a rule about the fish being legally hooked, or I'm liable to go snag one off of a redd... =)

I'm glad Posey came thru for us. Lamiglas has been absolutly top notch about supporting fishing in the NW. I will work on John to join us.
Shouldn't it be the Flysol derby? Naw, sounds too much like Lysol.
I think this will be a hoot. I'm twisting Nick's arm as we speak. I would think he would be all over this, as it has all the things he loves best . . well except for hot wild women,
P.S. John Posey - Lamiglas just told me he will attend, if the date doesn't conflict with a trade show.

Originally posted by Sol: Come on out, Mike. My boat is full but we can put you on a piece of water you should have no trouble with if you still have your DB. Put in up at Hyas Creek on the SF Calawah.
Seriously, you are welcome as is anyone who doesn't drink as post event frivolity is not a prerequisite. Thanks for the welcome, Tim. I'm not much of a bankie, but hopefully someone heading there with a DB will have an open seat for someone who can both fish, and row if needed. As for the Calwah, I'll pass. I've heard it's awesome water, and while I might be able to muddle through it, I'll stick to not placing myself or friends in harm's way. I actualy can handle a boat though, but know my limitations. Anyone who dumps their boat into any river on the OP they have never been on, and expects to have a bump/drowning free trip is foolish. Besides, I sold my boat a couple months ago (and yeah, I'm jonesing for another already!) Mike

Anyone who kills a native will be excluded from consideration in awards and will be banned from future events. Come on I knew wild fish were off limits but let's not get carried away.
