I am anxious to see the huge change in D.C., so far the people I'm hearing mentioned for possible Cabinet positions aren't really "strangers" (changers?) to the system...

Depends on what kind of Bushies you are referring to Dave!

Maybe I was the only one who assumed "change" implied something on a grander scale than just a different name tag on the desk. Don't get me wrong, I did not vote for Obama, but since he got the job, then lets see what all the hype was about...not just rearrange the furniture.

I'm still trying to figure out how to return $200,000 worth of clothes without a receipt.

I thought this thread was about how much money I would have left if the economy doesn't improve soon!

OR,

As desirable as a real change might be, government runs better, or more efficiently with institutional memory helping it. Institutional memory is possessed by those with prior experience in an administration. Kinda' sucks, but I'm not sure there's an effective alternative. Alternative sure, but probably not as effective.

I think you are using "effective" as a replacement for "easy"...

I don't think REAL change would be easy, nor simple, but there is surely enough room for improvement...

Love this stuff...

Bash him because he was so inexperienced, he'd need on the job training---then he brings in some insiders and we bash him for not bringing in fresh faces.

This cabinet, when completed, will be more inclusive of different parties, perspectives and constituencies than the outgoing one. $20 wager for anyone who wants to take that bet before Monday.

Look I could care less if you don't LIKE him, or don't like his POLICIES, truly I don't. But don't buy this made-up stuff to justify it. For pete sake, he's appointed his CoS, and maybe a press secretary. He's been elected for like 4 days. Enough.
