I'm guessing the trash talk will be better than the loser bowl those two sorry teams will play on the field. With alums from both schools in our family, trash talking each other is a big part of the fun. This year it's just sad with no real heart in it.
My Dad was a loyal fan of both teams and he said of some of the past lousy teams: "They may be bums but, damn it, they're our bums".

Keith.......ASU sucks massively, too...........just to lesser extent than UW and WSU. Not really something you want to draw attention to.

The Coogers D has given up an AVERAGE of over 50 pts per game and nearly 60 in Pac 10 play. I had to double check those numbers but yes they are real...

Now that was a classic! The Dawgs really Couged It and got boned in the process. I guess they call it football because you have to kick it. Ryan Perkins did a nice Chuck Nelson wide right imitation reminiscent of the 82 AC. Only Perkins missed three instead of one. Nic Grasu was money. Good thing Mitz and Tardy were healthy and Lopina finally got his head out of his arse. Ty Willingham and the Dawgs were celebrating a little prematurely.

I got news for all of you...... They both suck. Fortunatly you can get a good education at both schools and they both have some past sucesses in thier football programs. I hope they both improve greatly. The pac 10 really needs to step it up. Isnt anyone else tired of USC stomping ass through the pac 10 every year? Oregon state stepped it up this year but no one else even offered any real competion.

A seven-year-old boy was at the center of a Seattle courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.

The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulations requiring that family unity be maintained to the degree possible.

The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried out that they also beat him.

After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.

After two recesses to check legal references and confer with child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to the University of Washington Huskies, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

As a Husky it's hard for me to say it, but at least the boy and the judge found a productive use for the current Husky team.

4 of the last 10 doesn't sound so impressive, though, does it?

Since the Huskies don't have a team this year or last, why would you expect to see much in the win column?
