Back on topic, the A's are great at developing talent, producing star players, then selling/trading them to develop more players. They never quite get there, so whatshisface should work out fine for Seattle's coach.

The problem with the Mariners (sorry, hate the term M's, sounds ghey) isnt coaching and players so much is it is the ownership and "front office" making it a miserable place for any talent. Its why we lost Lou and who knows how many others.

I really blame Barbara Hedges for *accepting* James' resignation before the start of the fraking season. She should have told him to STFU and coach the season. It all went to shiat at that point.

BTW, I let my season tickets go this year. The M's have systemic problems that are widespread and not easy to fix. My prediction is that they will not be competitive until there are changes with both ownership and management. I am not that patient. Nor am I a sucker. The beer at Safeco is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE anyways!
