Ammunition Accountability Act
Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns?
Well, it seems that his minions and allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!
The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including TN, Illinois and Indiana ) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture, a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded.
Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including handloaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!
Please give this the widest distribution possible and contact your Reps!

I've said for a long time that they wouldn't go for your guns, they'd go for your ammo... guns have a Constitutional protection. Ammo does not. A list of states where this legislation is pending is in the final paragraph. Not in CO yet, they'll go where the pansies are first.
Heads up to all of you who swore to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign AND domestic. Let your state Legislatures know that we do not want this bill passed, and petition them to vote no on this bill. We should keep after them until the bill is closed by bombarding them with e-mails, phone calls, and letters.

Ammunition coding legislation is being pushed by a Washington company who makes the coding machinery. Asshattery at it's finest, and also old news. Maybe they think they can get is passed.

Can't blame this one on Obama, unless he embraces it.

Saw a recent ad for FN (Fabrique Nationale) that assailed against Mayor 5 pennies in Seattle and his need for a gun ban. Nickels is a fawkin' joke, along with anyone who would support this type of feel good legislation. Punish the god damned criminals and stop letting them back out. Put a few more people to death, actually a lot more, and enforce the laws we already have. I always wonder about these dipshit laws. Did somebody get high one night and think this stuff up?

Not too worried about his ammo coding deal. Been stocking up on reloading components, except for .45 and .40 projectiles. Might have to switch Pretty much have enought for a lifetime or three (Me and the boys).

About encoding ammo....not that it will ever happen....I'm curious why "responsible gun owners" would be against that? I mean in an ideal world sense meaning no additonal cost. Are you planning to get away with murder? Seems to me it would be a good compromise. Help law enforcement enforce the laws and law abiding citizens would have nothing to worry about. If you are worried about being in a database where have you been and why didn't you raise hell against the Bush admin?

Actually I think I read that the seller is required to take your name date of sale etc.I believe the vendor is required to keep these records for 7 years.So I am guessing the serial number is traced to the vendor and from the vendor to the criminal? That will curb crime.
