Hmm what do you think the outcome would be? Do you think that being gay is getting him special rights? This is F'ed up IMHO..

We have a winner! Yeah, the dude flat out lied in order to get elected. I could care less what he screwed - other than I hope it's himself. He's an idiot and deserves to be fired. Don't know about prosecuted, as I don't know what the legal age of consent is in Oreygone.

He has in fact admitted he lied about being romantically involved with a 18 year old intern.
The state Attorney General is conducting a investigation into whether or not the sexual contact happened before or after the interns 18th birthday.
At this point he has violated the voters trust, and acted very unprofessionally by having a affair with a subordinate.
City regulations say he can not be impeached until he serves at least 6 months, but if the AG finds that this affair happened prior to the interns 18th birthday, criminal charges will be made.
If he is convicted of wrong doing, then he can be removed from office.
I don't see any double standard here, and I don't see nay political favoritism, and although I'm disappointed in the behavior of the Mayor, I'm far from vomiting.

So lets get this stright if he was a moderate single repblican who lied about kissing a 17 YO girl and then lied about having a relationship with her when she may or may not have been 18 you'd have no problem with it? Lieing to the public for over a year to ensure his election and then refusing to step down after telling the public the truth soon after he was sworn in. I'd be willing to be you'd be leading the lynching party right about now.. But hey since hes a liberal queer its okay.. I compeletly get it now.

I understand where your coming from, but as it stands now he hasn't broken any laws.
He has broken the voters trust, and he has acted unethically, which unfortunately are not grounds for removal.
I do however feel he should step down, when a politician loses credibility his ability to lead effectively is lost.
